Ramada Inn's website offer's a Riverview room, which I payed for by credit card online, and the main reason I chose Ramada. When we arrived, took the key to the room, it was not a Riverview room. We went back to the office and the clerk said that she had just given the last Riverview room to the people who checked in immediately after we did, and that they were 'first come, first serve'. The rooms are in bad need of updating. We canceled our reservations and were warmly welcomed at the Isle of Capri Hotel, which I strongly recommend. Natchez was a wonderful trip otherwise. The price difference was about 12 bucks a night difference and the Hotel was 100% improvement over Ramada.

“It's not what you think”

O.K. people,I have stayed in ALOT of hotels, this one definately rates on my list of the WORST stays.
I checked in on 6/16/06. The front desk receptionist was kind enough, but not terribly knowledgable.
First of all my room was located in another building in the rear of the hotel. The rear door we had to use to enter remained unlocked for the duration of our stay. Trust me it didn't feel safe. Once I entered I was bombarded by the smell. The smell of mildew or something nasty like that. The wall coverings, carpet and drapery in the hallways were dirty and dated. The ceilings had huge water damage stans and looked like they were ready to cave in at a moments notice. This unpleasant theme carried on right into the room.
The room appeared to be clean enough, but the bathroom was dirty. I found urine on the toilet seat and hair in the bathtub. It wasn't alot, but it was enough to make me question just how throughly they had cleaned, if they had really cleaned at all. The room had no fridge or little microwave. The building I was in had two floors with ice machine located on the end of each hallway on each floor. None of the ice machines worked. So that meant when I wanted ice I had to make the trek to the main building to ask for some ice, which I did. The receptionist was kind enough to had me some ice from a back room in a grocery store bag (sweet). 6/19/06 was my day of emancipation, or at least that's what it felt like. That's the day I checked out of the Ramada and back into civilized living.
I would STRONGLY suggest thinking twice before staying at the Ramada Hilltop.Once upon a time the name Ramada was associated with quality, but that was once upon a time.........

The rates and the scenic view were great, but the room was not. The bathroom had ugly, nasty mold, and peeling paint in the bathroom sink. The bed was very uncomfortable which caused me to have a backache. The inside hallway to my room was dark and poorly lit. The carpeting was dirty and dingy. The outside entrance to the Lobby had damage to the overhang where you drive up to check in. I inquired and found out it was hit by an 11 foot U-Haul truck and the clearing is only 9 feet high - but that's not the worst - this accident occurred LAST September, 2005 (9 months ago!) and still has not been repaired. Nor does it appear that any repairs to the damage have begun. The area is cordoned off with yellow tape like a crime scene. Overall, the hotel does not appear to be maintained beyond the daily minimum cleaning. I will not be staying at this hotel again even though I like visiting the Natchez, Mississippi area. Thought you should know about this situation for the benefit of your other customers booking rooms in Natchez.

We stayed at this hotel after finding it on the internet. We chose this hotel because we liked the fact that they had a southerne style restaurant and a nightclub/cocktail lounge on the premises. When we arrived the hotel they didn't have either - false advertisement! The room was old with cigarette and iron burns in the carpet and the shower was not clean. I was really surprised with the quality of this Ramada. I would not reccomend it.

“Hated the Hilltop”

Ramada Inn Hilltop

It cost the two of us $81.40 to stay in this BELOW average rip off. For this to be a Ramada Inn was unbelievable. The bathroom had loose wallpaper showing the mistake they made the last time they remodeled. The shower curtain had been sliced in two, then not replaced, but STAPLED BACK TOGETHER!! One of the lamp shades was "bulb burned" all the way through. Lastly, (probably not but I'm tired of reliving this nightmare so I'll cut it short), the four legged writing table had only two legs that were still attached and was being supported (propped up) by the other two. Don't ask me. All I know is what I saw and two of the legs looked like they could fold up cardtable style, just any minute. Needless to say, as dainty and refined as it appeared, I managed to refraind from using this gorgeous piece to pen my letters that evening. In three words - don't stay here. Three more - don't even bother. Three more still - you'll be sorry.
