The attraction is not free but you get alot for the money. There is an original plantation building. Not like Gone with the Wind, but a smaller home more ordinary planters had. Recreated buildings of slave quarters, kitchen, etc. Working garden. Best earthwork recreation I have seen and I've been to alot of places. Probably the best preserved original earthworks also. This is a battle where the Union finally broke the Confederate hold on Petersburg. Trails through the park with markers plus headphones to tell the story of the battle and buildings. Museums also. Budget some time here. Ask to find the AP Hill marker and how to get to Five Forks and the impressive Fort Gregg.
