We made reservations , we THOUGHT, for Friday and Saturday. However, NO confirmation from Peak to Peak, so IF we did inadvertently put down Thursday and Friday we had no chance to make a correction. The website also did not say there was a weekend rate (higher) and a weekday rate. When we got there Friday we had already been charged for the Thursday we “missed”, and they had already rented our room for Friday and wanted us to rent the 145.00 “suite”. We finally talked them down to the original cost for a queen size room, but it took quite some negotiating to do so! The room WAS big and somewhat nice, BUT the bed was hard and uncomfortable. AND if you use ANYTHING in the kitchen you best clean it all as there is a $50 charge for not doing so. Both owners were definitely not suited for this job I found them unfriendly and they immediately tired to put us on the defensive. NOT friendly at all!!

Statement of the Peak to Peak Lodge, INC.: Every Online booking gets a confirmation. Our web page is transparent with rates, seasons and our policy. It is impossible for us to know, if they booked the wrong dates. When they arrived Friday evening in Estes Park, they desperately called from another Motel to find us, because they could not remember where they had a reservation. How can we be responsible, if they made a booking two weeks ago and cannot remember for which date and in which Motel they booked a room. We gave our last queen bed away, because it took them 30 minutes to get to our place for the 4 mile drive where they called and then we only had the King suite available which we gave them for the queen bed price.

My wife and I enjoyed the quaint little motel with the funny and gracious Swiss host. The cost was reasonable and the view from the balcony was great!

“Great getaway at great price”

Peak To Peak Lodge

4 Jun 2008

I rented the king room on the second floor. It came with a large private deck, table and two chairs. There was a half size fridge and microwave. Coffee maker with quality coffee also was available. A large countertop and mirror with chair for work/getting ready.

The room and bathroom were extremly clean. The bed was a bit on the value side, but nice sheets and spread. The hotel overall is the older 60's style motor lodge and is very well maintained. The owers are out everyday cleaning and just making things right.

The location is just a little outside of town, less than five minutes. There are two restaurants within walking distance. It is a very quiet place at night. Lots of parking available.

Overall an excellent value oriented place. I've paid more for a lot less.

“not great, but good.”

Peak To Peak Lodge

18 Oct 2007

myself and daughter stayed at the peak to peak last week for 2 nights. the hotel was closing for the season in a few days, we were the only guests there. the room was very small, barely enough room to walk around the king size bed. which was hard as a rock, but nice clean sheets. the room was clean, but the whole hotel was sort of old and run down looking, but not in a charming way. next time, i will spend a bit more, and it is really not much more, and stay in a nicer place. the owners were very nice, they were the best part of the whole hotel experience.
have breakfast at the egg and i. the french toast is the best.
we had breakfast there both mornings. estes park is a great little town.

“Home away From home”

Peak To Peak Lodge

17 Oct 2007

This was our first trip to Estes Park and Colorado. We stayed at Peak to Peak Lodge for three nights in Estes Park during our trip. After researching hotels in Estes Park we chose to stay at Peak to Peak lodge based on reviews from this site. We were very happy and pleased with stay here. My wife believed this was the best hotel of our eight day vacation in colorado beating out 3 and 4 star hotels that we stayed at. And I would agree based on the vibe and relaxing atmospher I felt while staying here. Our room was large enough not to feel cramped. The cleanliness of our room was amazing. There was two luggage racks in our room, a microwave, refridgerator, coffee maker, and plenty of coffee that was ready for our use. Also, the free high speed internet came in hand since we brought our lap top to send pictures. The outdoor pool was sparkling clean and just the right tempature. The hot tub that sits next to some aromatic pinetrees was not only relaxing but the smells from the pinetrees made me feel as if I was in the wilderness.
The owners were extremely helpful with directions and even printed up our airline pre-boarding passes when I asked. Our beds were comfortable and we didnt hear noise from the outside which was great because we were late sleepers on our vaction.
Even though this hotel is somewhat dated it was extremely clean and I felt it had a comfortable, relaxing atmospher. I felt this hotel was a great value comparing with other hotel prices in Estes Park. This hotel is located a couple minute drive from the many down town shops and close to the RMNP enterance. I definately will stay here again if I get back to the area.
