I called the hotel and spoke to a helpful and patient person there to make the reservation. If the weekend hadn't been a holiday, there would have been some wiggle-room on the price - so be sure to ask if you book there.
The Suite-Heart Loft, 1-bedroom was very clean and quiet.
We didn't use the air conditioner so don't know how loud that would be. Windows did open, and even though it's fairly close to the road, we didn't hear noise because the area is not busy at night. The suite faces into the courtyard, with mountain views in the distance.
It was a little strange to see the tub in the living area, but it's close to the gas fireplace, which provides plenty of heat. There is a small stall shower in the bathroom.
Kitchen is stocked with utensils and dishes, DW, frig, microwave.
The local Safeway is nearby by car.
Bed was comfortable, though personal preference would have been for softer pillows. There was a TV/VCR in the bedroom, and also in the living room. You could rent movies (nothing very current) at the desk for $2. Cable TV had lots of channels.
Someone on this forum commented on the list of "Important Things You Ought to Know." I really didn't mind seeing in print a reminder to respect your neighbor's need for a quiet setting - sometimes people on vacation need a reminder that their kids need to remain respectful of others. (no stomping around before we've had our morning coffe, thanks)
There's also a new hotel-type building that's not yet on their website. I'd like to see a review posted here if anyone stays there.
Overall, it was a restful place, and we'd stay there again.
