I stayed in the Budgetel Four Winds Motor Lodge for several days in July 2006 while I picked my daughter up from camp; she spent one night in the front room. I believe I paid about $100 per night for a 2-room "suite". The front room contained a full-size bed, a dorm-sized refrigerator, and a color TV (fairly new) with cable. The back bedroom contained a queen-sized bed and a color TV that I would estimate was about 20 years old - the tuner was a knob, and it could only "tune in" the VHF cable stations. Luckily the Weather Channel was on 11.
As noted below, this is a bare-bones motel. They provided soap, towels, and a bed. Everything was scrupulously clean, but worn down. The beds were firm, but not rock-hard. I found them comfortable.
The bathroom was small and clean. I got plenty of clean (if a little worn) towels. The pool is VERY heated and was not used much. I woudl not want to swim laps - it was too warm. There is no shade in the pool area.
I went to check on the "breakfast" (coffee, doughnuts, and granola bars) one morning, but they only had powdered non-dairy creamer, which I hate, so I skipped it.
The motel is about a mile from a Safeway (which also contains a Starbucks), and there is a sidewalk most of the way, so I got my exercise and caffeine.
In summary, if all you want is a bed and a bathroom this is an OK place to stay. I was happy with it, and feel that (given prices in Estes Park in the summer) I got what I paid for.
