Deplorable conditions at best. My immediate family had 4 rooms there. (Family reunion.) Total of 8 rooms rented at this motel. First impressions are usually right and they were again. I walked into the lobby to see the fireplace full of trash (yes they burned their pizza boxes and empty pop boxes in there along with newspapers!!) Our rooms were on par with the lobby. But when you have a group of 27 people in Estes Park Co. during the summer you can't get a block of rooms like that on short notice so we stayed. One room had no working a/c unit (or heat) (nights were in the low 40's days in upper 80's) The response was to open a window if it got hot (no screens though). Another fine feature was the love stains on the bedding. Another room had a 4" blood stain on the comforter that had soaked through to the mattress. Pool and hot tub were filthy, I would not allow my children to enter either. One room the toilet refused to flush so we were forced to use another room for that. A large pile of lumber with nails protruding from it was out side one window. An old discarded hot tub laid along the fence just beyond the pool. I am in the process of notifying the Estes Park Chamber of Commerce the state and local Better Business Bureau, the fire marshal for the code violations, and whatever governing body regulates the lodging in Estes Park. I have photos that I can share if someone wants to see them.
