“Decent for a pet friendly hotel”

We stayed for one night based on Tripadvisor reviews and their pet friendly status. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations about restaurants and park traffic. The hotel has been recently renovated, so it was fairly clean and updated. Beds were comfortable and about what you expect for a Holiday Inn. Location not bad, but most people would probably drive and park downtown for shopping and dinner. I'm sure there are nicer places to stay in Estes Park, but it works for a pet friendly place.

This my second time staying at the Holiday Inn in Estes Park. The hotel is located somewhat conveniently to the Estes Park shopping district, about a ten minute walk is required to most of the main shops on Elkhorn Ave.

The room we stayed in was relatively small and narrow (something that can be a problem if 3-5 people are staying in the room); however, the bathroom was very large with plenty of space.

The second night staying there, there were a few guests with dogs that kept barking, and this was very inconvenient. Luckily, the hotel took care of the situation the best they could, and the guests were gone the next day (either they left or were asked to leave).

The hotel has several other conveniences, such as a restaurant, a swimming pool, an exercise room, several arcade games, and a laundromat (where, if you approach the front desk to ask where it is, they give you free quarters and detergent and explain its location).

Otherwise, the hotel was a nice place to spend six days when visiting both Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The hotel does not offer free continental breakfast, but not many regular Holiday Inns do so. This place is a reasonable hotel to stay at when visiting the Estes Park area.

We almost did not have dinner at the hotel based on an earlier review on Trip Advisor. However, we were tired, went to dinner and were delighted! The filet and salmon were excellent! The Creme Brule could not have been better. The hotel is convenient and comfortable - Also, a great value!! The staff from front desk to kitchen made our night!

My family and I just returned from a four night stay at the Holiday Inn Rocky Mountain Park. This was our second stay at this hotel - we stayed here for 2 nights last summer. Our children (11, 7, and 6) love to swim and really enjoyed the pool last year so we agreed to return to the same place this year. Our stay this year was much better than last year. The rooms have been updated and ours was clean and very roomy. We were booked into a two room suite which suited our family very well. We booked the room using my husbands priority club points and I sort of expected to not get the best room, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant last year was being renovated, and at the time was relocated to a very boring banquet room. This year, all construction was finished and the restaurant was nice and new. We spent time in the pool area every day of our stay. It is a little dated and the hallway area near the pool could use some updating. My children didn't care though, and thoroughly enjoyed the large indoor swimming pool - and I enjoyed a break from putting sunscreen on them all the time!!! This hotel is very convenient to the downtown area (although not close enough to walk) and just a few minutes drive to the entrance to RMNP. Make no mistake, this hotel is not the Four Seasons in Maui, but overall we were impressed and would return again in a hearbeat!
