The title outlines a few cool things I realized.
While at the Marriott University, I never experienced wildness, loudness, or the such. Seeing how the hotel is located steps from U of A and has attendees doing visits for multiple reasons, you may assume the opposite. But this just isn't true! The hotel was pleasant, quiet but busy with a steady flow of people at the bar and coming/going.
From the time I drove up, I was greeted by a chipper, young man who I found out was not only a helpful escort with my bags to the room but really smart and clever. He was a graduate of the university and well-read, relatable. It showed because he picked up contextual statements during my time of clearing my car out. Also, he had a great personality that was a perfect mix of resolved and comical, helpful and respective of space/things.
After being escorted in by Tim, I was greeted by Mark, the front desk attendee. He was super helpful with some recommendations on food, lounges, and things in Tucson, as he was checking me in. Also, he took the time to humor me with his March Madness picks and thoughts as I lamented to U of A loss! (Go Florida!) Up to date - Mark has worked on a few different request for me and they all panned out. Plus, I got a gift bag w/ Sour Patch kids + Cherry Coke (I think this was left by my Visit Coordinators though - but hey Credit the MESSENGER/Delivery Man on this one - right?!)
I am wrapping up a 2 day stay now and hope to be able to share more cool info post-leaving but for now, I'll say "this was a stellar stay."
Professional, present, and customer service spot-on!
