We stayed at the Northey Street House B&B on our first trip to Salem. We were looking forward to a quiet, quaint little town to visit and explore. We found Salem to have a bit more traffic than expected, but was still a great place to visit. The Northey Street House initially seemed a bit further from the center of town than we had hoped, but we quickly learned that it was a pleasant little walk to most of the attractions. We enjoyed the fact that the house is close enough to the attractions, so that we could walk wherever we wanted to go, but far enough out of the way that we were able to leave the traffic and noise behind, and relax in a quiet, comfortable environment. We stayed in their Garden Room, and really enjoyed it. The pictures on their site don't do the room justice. It's really lovely and relaxing. The bed was really comfortable, and we were able to relax and lounge on our little weekend getaway. I think we most enjoyed breakfast time, there at the B&B. There were great pastries from a local artisan bakery, and plenty of good things to eat. We were fortunate to have really great weather while we were there, so everyone sat outside on the deck and enjoyed breakfast and lively conversation. Even Charlie joined in on the chatting! We found our hosts to be very nice and accommodating, and they made the house feel very inviting and comfortable for guests.
