Value in this bed and breakfast!! My fiancé and I, had not ever stayed in a bed and breakfast before... We were hotel snobs..well... no longer is that the case. We came in on friday evening greeted by Mike, he showed us to our room (Travis room) and gave us a rundown of where things were.. Like a collection of some pretty cool dvds! At breakfast Saturday morning we were greeted at the dining room and had the best homemade waffles with fresh fruit (included in the rate i might add!) There was ice cold cute containers of water, orange juice and milk on the table that were kept filled, not ever leaving you thirsty. The talk of the conversation with our fellow guest that we met that morning... was the coffee and temperpedic beds among other great things and how they are hooked on B&Bs as well..in this lovely place you really do get alot for your money and you get a very personal feel that you dont really have with hotels. The coffee was amazing.. If you love coffee..visit and you will see. The company was great, we met a couple from Idaho and two couples from the Woodlands. Our Fri. to Sun. stay was filled with complementary 24 hour water bottles, if your into soft drinks, those were available too, along with fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, and other snacks. Loved that they had dvds, board games and top notch educational books and magazine available to the guest. Another perk.. Free gaited parking! This is a well thought Bed and Breakfast place. We look forward to visiting other B&Bs at our other vacation spots and hope they are just as good or better. I say better because there were a few minor details that were not so good about our room and outside area. One, laying in that comfy bed looking up, the ceiling fan had a layer of dirt that was driving me crazy.. thats like an allergy attack waiting to happen. The rest of the room was clean and tastefully done with a masculine wood trim and hint of romantic gauze drapes..the bathroom was adorned with a beautiful crystal chandelier and a hanging vintage like mirror. The inside drawers of the bathroom cabinets were dusty..a detail overlooked in cleaning of room and when i went to use the beautiful jet tub with my rosemary mint bath fuzz.. It was a waste.. no one had turned on those jets before our visit to make sure they were flushed out and clean.. I filled the tub, dropped my fuzz bath block in, waited till it was full, turned on the jets and was terribly disappointed..bugs came out of the jet streams and flakes of metal. When we left for dinner on Sat.evening and got back.. I expected to have a refill of the one bath fuzz that i could enjoy, to take home and experience.. Not the case. There was not really any place outside to enjoy a good book..there was a cute water feature that could have been utilized with shade and seating.. The side of the house had a table, shade and seat..that area was just not very inviting.. The front porch of the house was also a nice feature, not really enjoyable because of the traffic on the street. The place was a nice experience and Mike and Hector
were nice. We had a peaceful retreat! Overall a 4.5 star for us!
