We stayed at the Wildwood Manor in February and it was truly a fabulous & memorable stay. Coming from Victoria, British Columbia & having visited both the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands, we enthusiastically recommend a visit to Friday Harbor. Our teenager had a long weekend so we decided to explore San Juan Island.The highlight of our visit was our stay at the Wildwood Manor. From the moment we entered the driveway, we knew this was a special place as we were greeted by deer watching our arrival. John graciously greeted us and upon entering this lovely manor, we were impressed by the beautiful decor, lovely furnishings and great views. Our room was luxuriously appointed with fine linens and bedding-incredible attention to detail with special touches everywhere - and everything was immaculate!

The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality - it's very fitting that this is the logo for the manor . . . we discovered that one of the owners, Michael is originally from Hawaii. The warm "Aloha Spirit" was evident throughout our stay. There is a reception area with beverages and special treats availabe anytime. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were divine. Breakfast was absolutely heavenly!!! Hands down the best breakfast we've ever experienced at a B&B and served in a beautiful dining area with wonderful views. By the time we left, we felt as though we had just been guests in the stately home of very dear friends who went out of there way to make our visit memorable. If you're planning a visit to the Pacific Northwest, you must include a visit to this extraordinary B&B, The Wildwood Manor on San Juan Island.

My husband and I just spend a weekend at Wildwood Manor and loved it. We had the most amazing experience! Nestled in the woods, with an amazing view of the Puget Sound and Vancouver, Canada – it was relaxing, calming and so quiet. And, the service was more than I ever could have expected.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted at the door by one of the owners. The B&B is immaculate! Not only is it spotless and sparkling, but it’s cozy and has all the amenities of home (including homemade cookies, soda, snacks, candy, tea, etc.). In addition, there is a huge library of books, DVD’s and menus of local restaurants. The freshly baked cookies always available were my personal favorite.

Our room was just perfect. We had two windows in the room, both with views of the water. Walking into our bedroom, we found a welcome note and chocolates. Num! Everything in the room was comfortable, warm and had what we needed. There were robes in the closet, a flat screen TV, a great writing desk looking over the water, a jewelry holder next to the bed, local art from the island – no detail left unnoticed. The bathroom was great – with beautiful tile work, luscious towels and plenty of storage space.

Every morning, we woke up to the smell of the most amazing breakfast. We were served a three-course meal. A perfect way to start the day! It was filling, absolutely delicious and there was enough for seconds! We ate in the dining room, again with gorgeous view of the water, and deer! I’ve never seen so many deer up close before. The first morning, I think we counted 11. Fabulous!

Anytime we had questions about what to do or where to go – we received the best recommendations. It was like having our own, personal concierge service! They even made reservations for us.

This was a perfect retreat for my husband and I. We will be back. And, have already recommended it to family and friends.

Wildwood Manor was our first B & B experience, and it was truly amazing. From the moment we drove onto the beautiful property with the deer and wildlife, and the warm greeting by our hosts Michael and John, we knew we were going to have an amazing weekend. Fresh cookies, delicious breakfasts, and lovely surroundings...the perfect escape for some much needed R & R! Thanks!

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast and I will have very high expectations from here on out. Everything was magnificent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Michael was an accommodating, generous, kind, friendly and knowledgeable host. The food was delicious, the service all around was excellent. We were not lacking for anything. Thanks to Michael for his attention to detail and graciousness. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and it may in fact be the only place I stay again on San Juan Island.
