We stayed at the Hilton Santa Fe over the long holiday weekend. I was a little worried after reading all the reviews, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the reviews made it seem. Maybe that is because I am Hilton Gold and I got a nicer room, but the staff was really friendly, they were also very helpful on recommendations of things to do around town. We had breakfast in the hotel which was definitely the standard Hilton fare but of very good quality. Their workout room was also pretty nice - weights as well as cardio equipment. While I looked across the street and thought how nice the Eldorado must be, I don't know if I would have been willing to pay the difference to stay there. Hilton was just fine!

We recently spent five nights at the Santa Fe Hilton and found it a wonderful experience. Every person that we had contact with was most accommodating and pleasant in making our stay enjoyable. The location could not be better. It was within walking distance of Old Town and all of its shops and museums and restaurants. Other things were a short driving distance away.

Rooms are quite comfortable but not especially roomy. Location is good for historical district but valet parking ($20 per day) is expensive and they have the nerve to charge $10 per day for internet access. No breakfast provided.

“The perfect hotel in location and service”

Hilton Santa Fe

After a horrible night at LaFonda we called the Hilton. Not the most attractive from the street hotel but we were desperate. Service was incredibly great. The front desk was continually inquiring if we needed help, dinner suggestions, etc. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony. The interior of the hotel actually is so much nicer than one would believe from the exterior. Very Southwestern and some nice art. Start your day with their breakfast buffet or grab a coffee and homemade danish and start shopping. I was fearful this would not be as convenient to shopping as LaFonda, but it was. This hotel is on the lower end of the Plaza. We met the General Manager who was so accomodating. We will always stay at the Hilton when visiting Santa Fe. Beds were great, rooms were large, staff greeted us by name! Incredible experience after a most miserable one at LaFonda. Thank you Hilton for saving our vacation!

“Worn and Tired”

Hilton Santa Fe

Stayed here 5 years ago so it seemed like it should be a good bet for a return visit - not. Unfortunately, the years have not been kind. The hotel looks worn and badly in need of a reno to spruce it up but even then I would not take a chance on it again. Rooms (we asked to be moved) were run down and not as clean as they should be. when the hotel has to gouge a chunk out of the bathroom door so it can clear the toilet that should give some indication of the standard. It was a nice hotel once upon a time but no longer. Carpets were stained, no fridge (maybe the broken one left out in hall was the missing fridge), one of the beds has a broken boxspring, handle off the wardrobe etc - you get the picture.
