We were luck for our little family of 4 to find this hotel considering we were looking for reservations to a nice hotel during the midst of the local university family weekend/homecoming festivities. Though we didn't find an equivalent if not 'better' hotel, we found this hotel and paid about $150.00 a night (a better rate should have been at least 90-110 a night. We paid a little more though again considering the local events, and the assurance that we would be treated decently, and the rooms would be clean!
The room we stayed in Room 148 was by all means clean. The room was comfortable and being on the low floor, there was the occasional sounds of footsteps, bumps upstairs. Indeed there was the sound of the shower coming from the upper floors. The mattress was a bit firm, yet there were two types of pillow, firm and fluffy. Plenty of towels, the two-bar soap and small bottles of Pantene shampoo/conditioner. Yes, the bathrooms were small, and there was no bathroom fan, though there were the stationary vents that run vertical to the hotel.
Unfortunately, there is no automatic thermostate to the room, so you have to manually adjust the heater/cooler to the room. Otherwise, you can shut off the heater, and only have the room cool down in the middle of the night only to get up and turn the heater on to warm the room. Too much heat, and the room gets too hot and you get dried out. Not much heat and all you have is cool air blowing into the room which doesn't help on a cold winter night.
The staff was very helpfull and friendly and the food bar and service was fantastic! At least a couple of foodkeeps on hand to replinish breakfast items. Plenty of coffee too! HINT: on the microwave, press number 4 and push start to heat your microwaveable sausage/egge/cheese biscuit the following morning.
There is a computer in the corner with internet access.

We only stayed for one night as we travelled up from tucson and were heading for the grand canyon. We only wanted a place to put our head down for the night so nothing special. we got all we required. The bed was large and as we had a cot in the room for our son our room was even smaller. But it did have a microwave and a fridge to keep his milk so that was very handy. We were on the top floor which was a pain but i suppose it was a bit more secure. To use the elevator you need a room key. It was near a supermarket and a few restaurants and is just at the entrance into flagstaff. I heard the train once during the night but my wife slept through so it didn't bother us. The only problem for us was that they did not have any laundry facilities for us to use but they directed us to one nearby, which was helpful. When we arrived the hotel was full and there was a cnstant stream of people arriving and asking for a room for the night. The brakfast was ok too, the room is small but you could make your own waffles and there were cereals and mufffins etc. All in all cheap and cheerful

Very small room but clean and comfortable. Good price for the area.
Above average on the cleanliness and the breakfast was great! Downside was that the room was terribly tiny. I think the smallest bathroom I have ever been in - even counting numerous trips to NYC hotels! It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC was very loud which was good and bad. Bad as it did wake me up several times when it kicked on and good because it drowned out the hallway noise. Note to travelers - only the 3rd floor has inside access. The other 2 floors are outside doors which I don't care for personally. Seemed like a safe part of town with some places nearby to eat and a Target to get supplies for the family. It was 100% better than the Residence Inn there that I had spent the previous night at but I would not be likely to stay here again due to the small size of the room. It also felt like the floor was vibrating whenever I was in the bathroom which was pretty nauseating.
