My wife and I found the Spring Street Inn on Trip Advisor, and recently had a perfect 1 night stay. Pat was extremely gracious and we especially liked the privacy she affords you. You get your own key to the Inn and it almost feels like your own home. The room was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was better than we could have had at any restaurant. All in all, it was a perfect little getaway!

The Spring Street Inn is a great place to stay. It is in a terrific location. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants so that you do not need your car. Pat is a very warm and friendly hostess. Very helpful - provided excellent suggestions for restaurants and tours. Breakfast was amazing - a very hearty and delicious hot meal to start the day, The room was very clean and comfortable, although a bit small. I would definitely stay here again!

What a great inn. Even making a reservation was very pleasant, since the innkeeper, Pat, is warm, friendly, cheerful, welcoming, and will bend over backwards for her guests. The inn itself is clean & well kept, and our rooms were spacious. A hot breakfast is cooked fresh each morning, which was delicious. Fresh-baked cookies, lemonade & tea are served at 4pm, which was a nice touch. The inn is located just 1 block from the main street in Newport, so all the harbor attractions are in walking distance. Other similar inns in the area charge more, so the Spring Street Inn is also great value. Recommended.

We got back yesterday after having a wonderfulf four day stay at the Spring Street Inn. When we arrived Pat greeted us warmly and had many great tips on the best sites, activities and restaurants.
My first impression of the house was that it was very clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. We stayed in the Rosecliff room on the 2nd floor which had a queen sized canopy bed and a great little reading nook with a chaise lounge. The room was not large but it was very comfortable and decorated with victorian roses... even my husband liked it.

We had a private bath with a spa shower. It was immaculately clean and there was always hot water. We had central AC/heat.
The linens and towels were good quality and the bed was very comfortable. Pat provided little extras like a free illustrated book on the mansions, maps and a coupon for a free bottle of wine, chocolate on the nightstand, etc...
There was a sound machine on my nightstand. Other than the occasional car passing it was very quiet at night.
We did not have a TV in our room. There was a living room with a TV just off our room for all the guests to share. Most of the time no one was watching since there are so many other great things to do in Newport. On the table are menus of local restaurants and lots of info on Newport.
The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Pat cooked something special every day and there were always fresh muffins or croissants and fresh squeezed juice and fruit.

Pat is very friendly and accomodating while remaining non intrusive. She goes the extra mile. There is a reason the Spring Street Inn is rated number 1 on this site. I look forward to staying again and will recommend to my friends and family.
