We were very disappointed. We checked in at about 2:30 in the afternoon to get ready for a wedding. The air conditioning was not turned on so the room was sweltering and never cooled down while we were dressing.
The drain in the tub was clogged, so you shower in 3 to 4 inches of water, and faucet never turned off completely, so you heard a constant drip. The toilet also ran.
The final insult was the breakfast. When they say 9:30, don't come a minute later! I had come down and had coffee on the porch with the owners. Fran asked me if we were having breakfast, and I told her yes. My husband had slept late, so we sat down at the table at 9:35, only to be told that breakfast was over. They reluctantly gave my husband a toasted bagel. I had seen mixed fresh fruit; when I specifically asked, they brought us small bowls of that. Never brought any coffee for my husband, and reluctantly brought us some orange juice and some milk for the little boxes of cold cereal that were still on the table. Felt there were many ways that they could have handled this better, especially at the price they charged.
Not very guest focused!
Great B&B. Very friendly hosts. Very good breakfast. Romantic room. Very good location. Highly recommandable.

We stayed at the Sarah Kendall House, in Rhode Island, during our fall trip to New England. Our room , the Isaac Kendall, was very large and decorated in the victorian style, and overlooked the harbor that was located across the street from the B & B. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful to the sites in the area. The food was ample and presented in the lovely dinning room.

The Sarah Kendall was absolutely perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Breakfast was superb and our hosts, fran and Bryan Babcock were extremely hospitable. Cookies, brandy, and wonderful accomodations. Well worth the money. Fireplaces in the room furnished with lovely antiques. Great bed, linens, and location. Bryan's sense of exquisite detail allowed us to sit in fully restored tower with exceptional views, yes in winter!!. Perfect!! We will return. In the summer it will be perfect for walking to town. Alittle too cold this time around. Try Pronto Restaurant while yor are in Newport as well. A hidden gem!
