Inn Bliss was so great. I don't usually do the B&B thing but every time I do I fall in love again. Brian was so charming and accommodating, I felt right at home. I stayed in the Nelle Room and I slept so good, I got up 3 hours past when i normally get up. I just couldn't believe it. I almost missed the conference I was going to at the Hyatt. My friends stayed at the Hyatt and Marriot and I am very glad I decided to stay at Inn Bliss instead.

While planning to attend a large convention and desiring a hide-a-way location, my partner and I serendipitously happened upon Inn Bliss, a cozy B&B off upper Broadway in Newport, RI.
The online reservation was confirmed in minutes via telephone and questions regarding food preferences, special dietary and personal needs and preferences were posed....very attentive indeed!
Easy to find and once inside, our host Brian, with his infectious smile, his easy laugh and his genuine desire to ensure our comfort, made every effort toward settling us in. Breakfast schedules were promptly arranged, and inqueries as to our desires regarding sight seeing, dining out etc....immediatedly attended to....our room was warm and welcoming with music and an unexpected array of menus from many of our favorite nearby restaurants.
Breakfast on both occasions was outstanding...fresh whole foods deliciously concocted and beautifully presented in a lovely dining room filled with light and glass and delightful antique treasures.
With fully modern amenities and an array of services usually reserved for five star hotels including personal massage and jacuzzi, this charming home will at once, feel like your own.

We didn't know what to expect since we never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. This was a very special occasion for us since we just found out I was pregnant and wanted to celebrate someplace nice. We loved the old style of the B&B/Inn. The owners decorated it with wonderful details that made us feel at home. We never met Brian but Nick was very friendly and helped us navigate the whole town. Be sure to listen to Nick's recommended restaurants and attractions...we made that mistake once and would not advise it. Do not do all of the walk on the cliffs in the winter. it can be dangerous at certain parts. Breakfast was much better than I expected. We had pumpkin pancakes with homemade apple syrup one morning and the other we had something with eggs (i don't know what it was but i was delicious!!!) We love to travel so we talked about all of the place we had been and it turns out Nick has been to them as well. We had so many conversations not only at breakfast but in the evenings in the living room. It was just like staying with friends. We never made it in the hot tub. Maybe next time. We ate at a few great restaurants like the Parrot Restaurant and the Mama Lucia and another place called the Place, i think. The mansion tours we great of course and Nick sent us to one of his friends gift store and we got some great discounts on gifts for the family. We really can't wait to return to Newport and stay with Nick and Brian again. Hopefully before the baby is born.

I have to write a review after reading the two negative ones which had to have been a misunderstanding. I can't see Nick or Brian purposefully not being there to welcome them in! My fiance and I arrived at Inn Bliss rather late, at about 10:45 PM. Nick was there with a smile and open arms. Yes, you can't wear shoes upstairs, but if that's the only negative tidbit, who cares!
Nick was even ready to give us options in case we wanted to go out for a drink or buy a bottle of wine. Our room, Lucretia's room was great. There was a walk in closet complete with robes and board games. There was even a small cd player with soothing music. The bathroom was in the hallway,but it was beautiful. There was a nice sized shower, plus separate tub. I don't know about the other review mentioning no shampoo, but I could have sworn the bathroom had it. Plus, they provided great soap, body wash and lotion.
The next morning AMAZING apple pancakes were served in a beautiful dining room.(We tried to make them at home but couldn't quite get it right!) Nick told us about some of Newport's history and gave us a detailed map. He provided us not only with directions but great suggestions of where to go. Nick was extremely personable, friendly, and of course, a gracious host. Later we met Brian and liked him just as much!

Inn Bliss has a great location, within walking distance to the Main St. area yet far enough so it is cozy and quaint.

We went to Newport Vineyards (SPECTACULAR WINES, large variety, this coming from a Long Island wine snob) and Greenvale Wineries (didn't like the wine as much but beautiful). We also walked around near Main St. and shopped. One of the best parts of the day was doing the BEAUTIFUL Cliff Walk. You could spend two hours taking pictures. Oh, and right up the street from the inn is probably one of Newport's greatest kept secrets, a used book store! We each walked out with a dozen books for next to nothing.
There are many restaurants to choose from. We went to Elizabeth's for dinner. It is a BYOB family style restaurant, 4 stars, very unique and tasty.

The next morning another wonderful breakfast was served. Before leaving Nick took our picture to put in the Inn Scrapbook. We loved Inn Bliss and will probably be returning this April. Any questions, feel free to email!
