I went to a special mid-week Antinori wine dinner recently. The wine was excellent, but the selection of wines served was chosen by the Antinori rep (I'm assuming). So what is really impressive, for the purposes of this review at least, is how the chef created the menu to pair so well with the wines. Most courses included the wine it was paired with, e.g. Kobe beef with chianti au jus, paired with chianti. Each course was unique, the ingredients were incredibly fresh (the raw shellfish trio was perfect), and best of all, the kitchen staff came out afterward to field questions! This is a very classy place. I can't speak to what their normal dinners are like, but based on this special dinner, I will most certainly be coming back.
