From the minute we arrived to brownies and coffee we knew we had made a great choice! Heather and Michael were friendly and hospitable and the room, although a little dark, had great character and an outside deck which was lovely to sit on in the morning or late evening. Tea and coffee are always on tap and every afternoon Heather puts out some baked goodies she has made that day for the weary traveller to come home to. And the breakfasts were like nothing you get in the UK, which maybe after all the weight we have out on, is no bad thing. The Portugese Pancakes and Waffles with fruit and cream were a highlight of our whole trip...yes we are very sad! You can take breakfast outside which would be lovely on warm days. Whilst these types of Inn can be more expensive than some hotels the service and hospitality were equal to the price. I would thorughly recommend anyone to stay at the Inn if they are visiting Newport and wish to stay in an Inn/Bed and Breakfast.

Our stay was fantastic. Given the location, lovely rooms, great hospitality and breakfasts "to die for", what more could anyone want.?! Hope to see Heather , Michael and Jackson again soon.

My girlfriend and I had high expectations regarding this B & B from previous Trip Advisor posts and I am pleased to say that they were met and often exceeded. The owners Michael and Heather are a young couple who are very pleasant and seem genuinely interested in making your stay at their home relaxing and enjoyable. We had the yet to be named "suite" with a huge four poster king and separate sitting room with a private back entrance to a private deck just off the main deck in the back. Fabulous! The room had a working fireplace and the private bath was clean and spacious. Loved the federal period decor vs. the standard victorian make up of most B & Bs. Heather and Michael were perfect in their level of interaction with us...spent time talking and chatting but were also aware of allowing us some private time as well. The location is fantastic...2 minute walk to Thames St. shops and 10-15 min. walk to Bowen's Wharf area. Spring St. is not as busy as Thames and we had absolutely no traffic noise to contend with in our room. Would highly recommend this B & B to anyone looking for lodging in Newport.

Charming B&B in a great location. Rooms were very nice and the service was excellent. Breakfast was phenomenal, especially the french toast. Because the inn is located on a busy street, there was a little bit of noise in the room from traffic, but nothing too bothersome. Our favorite stops on the trip were the Cliff Walk and The Mooring Restaurant. Overall we would definitely recommend this B&B for its central location, great service, and nice rooms.
