We went to Anchuca to eat dinner and lucked up and got a room because someone cancelled at the last minute. I have never really wanted to stay at a B&B because I was not sure how I would feel staying in a house...Anchuca was great. Our room was one of the smaller ones, #9, in the Carriage House. Certainly, you cannot expect the most modern decor so it was exactly what I hoped it would be. It was clean and all of the furniture was antique. There was a nice dressing area but the bathroom was very basic. The descriptions given on the website are completely accurate. The main house is gorgeous and I loved that you could just walk around on your own and explore...there are so many details. Our dinner was wonderful and the "Plantation Style" breakfast was delicious. The staff is very accommodating and I would definitely recommend this B&B to others. Tom, one of the owners, is very knowledgeable can suggest activities as well as give you plenty of history, even beyond the history of Anchuca.
