Took a family vacation to Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon in April 2006. The Desert Pearl was by far the best place that we stayed. I cannot say enough about the quality, cleanliness and convenience of this place. Very comfortable, immaculate rooms. The Zion shuttle picks you up right in front of the hotel. Our river view room was quiet and faced the mountains and river. We will definitely return.

We chose the DP having read Tripadvisor comments and were not disappointed. This is a superior motel in a pleasant setting with very helpful staff. Our poolside room was large, well equipped and clean. We had no problem with external noise. The only minor glitch was the strong smell of lavatory cleanser as we entered the room - soon fixed. Very well located for Zion with shuttle bus just outside. The only decent restaurant in Springdale lies a short walk away. Strongly recommended.

“Fantastic!”

We stayed at the Desert Pearl from June 4 to June 9 for our honeymoon. We are professionals in our mid-twenties and when we travel we like to stay in fabulous hotels, but we don't like to pay high prices! This was the perfect place. The room was huge and extremely clean. My husband has a sort of germ/hotel room phobia and he even said he would actually live here! The photos on the motel website are dead-on. We stayed in a pool-side room. The only downside to this, is the room also faces the road and sometimes the traffic can be loud. We awoke each morning and went to the gift shop to get breakfast. We ate our breakfast on the balcony and you couldn't ask for a better view.

Springdale is a great place to stay if visiting Zion. We flew into Vegas and drove about 2.5 hours to the Desert Pearl. I would highly recommend this, the drive is beautiful. Once in Springdale, we took day trips to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and to Bryce Canyon. These are both musts. The only downside to Springdale is the food. The restaurants are over-priced and the food is terrible (in our experience). Everyone talks about the Bit n' Spur mexican restaurant, so we decided to try it. I got a chicken burrito for $10 and I must say, it was the worst burrito I have ever had. Maybe you all will have better luck. The best place we ate at was the lodge inside the park. They had the best food and the best prices.

If you are planning on visiting Zion NP, stay at the Desert Pearl. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at the Desert Pearl from 18th - 21st May. We drove through Zion national Park to get there and as soon as we arrived we knew we had found somewhere special.

The reception area was lovely, really helpful people. They have a coffee shop in there as well as lots of gifts and trinkets. We bought breakfast from there one morning and it was lovely

The room was absolutely stunning. It was as big as some apartments! Our room had a river view and a balcony area with reclining chairs. The view was stunning with the red rocks of Zion almost in touching distance. The room had a massive bed, a fridge, a sink. a sofa, microwave...everything you could possibly want.

Price wise it was quite reasonable and when you checked in you realised it was a total bargain. Location wise it was in the middle of Springdale, which is really just one long road, and there was a stop for the Shuttle Bus immediatly outside. Its about a five minute bus ride into Zion, or a 15 minute walk if you are feeling fit. Restuarants, laundrette, small market are all in easy walking distance

A really really wonderful hotel, I cannot think of a single negative thing to say, nor would I want to.

“Favourite Springdale Hotel”

We have just returned from a 3 week tour of the Utah National Parks and the Desert Pearl Inn in Springdale was our favourite hotel. We stayed 3 nights but wish we had stayed longer. The room was very comfortable and clean with a balcony and lounge chairs overlooking the swimming pool. The pool and hot tub were excellent. The views from the room were spectacular - cliffs which changed colour as the day passed. The Inn is a short walk from the Springdale restaurants and shops. It was a very relaxing place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
