Facts: The hotel is situated amidst a bazaar, so 365 x 7 the road is blocked from 5 PM to 10 PM (that is till the procession gets over in Har ki Pauri) so if you are driving to Haridwar and you have booked this hotel, you are in big trouble if you arrive between 5 PM to 10 PM.

The hotel is away from Har ki Pauri , and you have to walk for a while.

Dont go with any expectation with this hotel and things are going to be fine. I went to celebrate a B'day and also requested for a candle night dinner. The hotel management is totally unaware of such kind of dinner!!! Also, please dont order a cake if you are in Haridwar (it was pathetic, we had the ceremonius cutting and then asked the hotel boys to share it among themselves)

Mr. Manish the sales guy was generous enough to offer me a discount but facing the problems during arrival and then the improper direction guidance by the staff, I had a bad experience.

The room were clean and the concept of certralize AC is something which can be adopted by the rest of the hotels .

Food quality is OK , nothing to write home about.

While leaving the hotel , the hotel management again guided us the wrong way which caused additional suffering.

In short if you are looking for a room which is clean , has clean toilet (the flush might not be in order), centralize AC, the reception goes offline when there is a power disconnect select this hotel.

In the midst of the main bazaar selling religious paraphernalia, you find comfort and quiet in Alpana Hotel. It is modern and elegant, with clean ironed sheets and towels. We love it and stayed for 1 night only. Walking distance to the Haikipairi and lots of shopping at your doorstep.

Value for money at around RS900 for twin standard room. Rack rate around RS1200.

Smack bang in the middle of the Bara Bazaar, right where you want to be in Haridwar. Centrally located - everything is a walk away - the ghats - the train station - the Alpana is clean, cool, spacious hotel.

Depsite the fact there were screaming kids outside our room we enjoyed staying here. There was a sense of press ganging us into tipping everyone on check out - suddenly the entire hotel staff appeared, looking surly, as we left - one even confronted us outside, but I suppose thats to be expected to some extent

Stayed her for two nights in March. Hotel is exceptionally clean, very central right in the middle of the Bazaar ( not noisy tho) and staff are very helpful and friendly. Would definately recommend this hotel.
