“Simply perfect - the best dining experience we have had and excellent value for money”

My husband and I were walking around Pissouri around 6.00pm in the evening doing what he calls the "sniff test" he likes to see which restaurants are preparing fresh food that smells wonderful! Next we do the "atmosphere test" we look in and see how many people are in at that time, how quickly a waiter comes over and asks etc then we look at the menu! At Cyprus this time of year only Limanaki passed all of out tests! the wonderful aromas just make your mouth water, the restaurant even at 6.00pm is starting to fill with only a few non booked tables available. the waiters are attentive, pleasant and friendly, know just when to top up the wine and when to leave you alone. But the food.....simply perfect whatever you are in the mood for! You can be certain it is cooked to perfection and be an unforgettable experience. The biggest difficulty is in choosing, there are so many wonderful dishes that my question to Sam the owner after our final visit was "what am I going to regret going home and not having?" he advised the lamb shank and I have to say it was truely spectacular! My son had the duck in the most amazing sauce, whilst the fillet steak my husband had with the cognac sauce was divine. The chicken salad starter was so fresh and crisp with gorgeous sun dried tomatoes and a dressing that complimented it to perfection. We only had room for one dessert to share so naturally it was the chocolate cake which in no way does justice to the squidgy centre, the beautiful ice cream or the strawberries that accompanied it! It was the best dining experience we have had and excellent value for money. It is a must for everyone going to Cyprus!

“Just Fabulous”

I had made up my mind that I wanted to eat at this restaurant before I left England. I had read the excellent reviews on TA and looked at the website and the menus. I emailed the restaurant to ask whether they were open at this time of year and whether the restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. I was surprised to get an email straight back from Sam the executive chef/owner immediately to say yes to both my questions. When we got to the hotel they upgraded us to half board but I was still determined to try this restaurant and we went there twice during our one week stay.

Even at this time of year the restaurant is full every night and you need to book. It is very small but does have an upstairs (which I didn't see) and tables outside also. The service was excellent and the choice and quality of food is amazing. Every dish comes out and looks and smells so appealing that you want to eat them all. It is obvious that lots of people go back there all the time and Sam knows them all. He comes round to every table and asks if you are enjoying your meal and chats to people. He seems to really want to make sure that people have an enjoyable experience. All of the staff are friendly and efficient. We have many fine dining restaurants in Oxford and I have been to many while on holiday but this is up there with the best. I loved it and thought it was fabulous. I would go back to Pissouri just for this restaurant.

“Limanaki's creative cuisine goes from strength to strength”

We just visited Limanaki again after it was closed for the winter. Chef/owner Sam Kazzaz has re-opened with some superb new dishes, fantastic flavours and appealing presentation. What's not changed is the attentive - but not overly so - service and Sam's enthusiastic hospitality. I can thoroughly recommend this place for a special night out, or just for a cool, luscious dessert in the afternoon. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys!

“Best around”

Sam Kazzaz is Lebanese and guides this small restaurant with a twist. The outdoor seating area is a welcome spot for long time tourists and locals alike. The restaurant offers besides some of the usual local cuisine also some international dishes such as Indian and middle east cooking. Our favorite was the “Curried away” calamari.
Like at the hotel the waiters are from Bulgaria and Romania with a higher training level than over there. Good wine list and local house wine. This restaurant is one level higher than the others around, both in quality and price. We also visited Yialos Tavern, Kastros, Artemis and Captain´s Bay (see separate reports).

“Superb meal, amazing food, unbelievable prices, fantastic staff!”

Last night my husband and I celebrated Valentines Day (he will be travelling on monday so we will not be together). Where else would we go, but Limanaki Restaurant? We both adore the food, the setting and the wonderful owner Sam!
My husband had the curried calamari for starters (he has been dreaming about it, and craving it since our last visit) and the pork in orange sauce that was the special of the day. I had the moreish garlic mushrooms, and an amazing beef dish that was so succulent and tasty I was upset when i realised it was all gone!
We finished off the meal with the floating chocolate cake-oh my! Probably about a thousand calories, but OH MY GOD it's good!
I just wanted to say, Bravo to Sam Kazzaz and his amazing crew-keep doing what you are doing, and people will come from miles around!!
If you are staying in Cyprus, it is worth the drive-visit Limanaki (or you will regret it)
