This was hands-down, the best B&B where we have ever stayed. The entire house is wonderfully decorated and filled with lovely antiques. Our hosts were beyond friendly. We were instantly greeted by our host Bill who told us the history of the inn, what to do locally, and then made dinner and theatre reservations for us. We felt welcome in the entire household, and even though our room was very comfortable, lovely, and had wonderful amenities, we spent most of our time in the parlor with our hosts and other guests. Our hosts were also very gracious and always offered us iced tea or wine to enjoy.

The house is just off of Salutation Cove, and it is only a quick walk to the water. You can also see the cove very well from the house, as it is situated between the cove and a beautiful potato field, and just off of a charming red clay road. We were also able to enjoy the large wrap around deck when lounging and reading.

We were also able to enjoy wonderfully prepared gourmet breakfasts each morning such as: french yogurt with fresh cherries and almonds served with Grand Marnier french toast smothered with fruit and banana muffins. We felt we could never return to a normal breakfast of cold cereal again after having been served such a delicious meal.

The best part of our stay was the interactions we had with our hosts. They were so friendly and truly invited us into their homes and their lives. We left feeling like family and knowing so much more about the Island and where to visit. We will certainly return to the Briarcliffe for our every visit to PEI until we find a home of our own there. We can't wait to go back.
