My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. We booked a superior ocean view bungalow.
The room was clean. It had two full size beds. Would rather have had a king or queen. While it has an ocean view I thought it was going to have direct access to the beach. We had to walk back through reception and cross the road to get to the water!! Not a big deal but after staying in Tulum a few years ago I was hoping for the same private direct access to the beach.
The Shower is spacious which I enjoyed and the shell shower head is a nice touch.
The room had AC but not very efficient as the room is not insulated. But it worked. The Fine mosquito nets seemed to block the AC getting to the bed. So I would leave it on when you go out to cool the room down.
The breakfast was adequate but noting special. We did not dine there for dinner based on the breakfast. I would say, for me, this place is not worth the money we paid.
I did enjoy my stay there but I suspect other places maybe better.
The internet connection in bungalow 1 is not great. I was looking forward to waking up reading the paper, electronically, on the deck lazing over breakfast. But I was just as content reading my book.
The Staff were nice. The gardener cut us a coconut and some other fruit one afternoon and as we had to leave very early on our last morning they prepared a packed breakfast for us which we collected the night before. A nice gesture but the food needs an improvement.
The hotel needs a little investment and an upgrade in their restaurant facilities.
My wife was peppered by Mosquitos, not so much in the room, but the mosquito nets did have some holes and one night I did feel something crawling on our bed, suspect an iguana, but couldn't find anything after looking.
The 10-15 min walk back from town in the moonlight is really nice.
Bring a lot of Mosquito repellent and Sun Block!!
The reason we ended up here is that our first two choices had no vacancies and Villas Delfines were quick to get back to us. We decided to go to Holbox on a last minute decision from Merida.
