For a couple of years now we have been visiting rhodes greece and we found this little cute hotel that is honestly a great greek family owned hotel. Whenever we wanted to eat to a new restaurant we would just go downstairs and ask George (one of the owners) where we should go. It is a totally a different experience cause those greeks now where to eat and let me tell you ,yes there is a difference between real greek food and food made for tourists.
The rooms were very clean , airconditioned, they also have a little fridge and stove(in case someone would wanna try recreating what they ate the night before at Manolis which is by the way one of the best in faliraki) . The hotel is located right on the main highway of Rhodes-Lindos which IS GREAT if you wanna catch the bus that is going to Rhodes,Lindos and basically everywhere you like. It is not a beachfront but it is 3 - 5 minute walk from faliraki beach which is by the way a wicked beach.
There a lot of bars ,clubs and tourists stores in faliraki. We are not the kind of people that would go to a club but there were a lot of options which is cool. We also felt safe there , most of the greeks are very welcoming. Not all though.
There was only one small problem , if you feel like having a hot water shower in the middle of the night it might be a problem. The hotel uses solar panel to heat their water , great for the enviroment. SO until 10 pm you will still have super hot water but after that is warm but not hot. In the other hand though who would want to take a hot shower when the outside temperature is +45 degrees celcious? I am just a bit spoiled
One other good thing is that we did not go with an all inclusive deal. This way we really got the chance to try anything we wanted and we ended up saving some money. The hotel room we got I think was only something like 40 euros a night.
So overall we would totally reccomend this one to everyone that wants to go to a hotel with the real greek feeling to it and a really nice family ( Mimis and Stergos Family) that owns it. Nothing like an all-exlusive character free resort ,thats for sure.
p.s. George and his family own a really nice silver jewelery workshop just found it online the other day www.mastorasilver.gr
