“Elegant and discrete city hotel”

Rodos Park Suites is a small-scale, elegant hotel situated in one of the best neighborhoods of the city of Rhodes opposite the city's parks, very close to the medieval town and close to the heart of the shopping area. We stayed there in winter, so the location was ideal for the season, but it is also recommended for summer as a city hotel, though. The hotel has 30 suites and 30 standard rooms, but the latter are not very comfortable. I would recommend use of standard rooms in connection with suites (they are all connecting with suites).
Advantages: Good location for city hotel. The suites' advantage is that the bedroom can be fully separated from the sitting area and the bathroom is accessible from both rooms. Also good mattresses ("Hypnos"), comfortable beds, nice furniture in rooms and very elegant furniture and equipment in the lounges and restaurant, very good and kind staff and very quiet and discrete environment. Good fitness facility, but must be paid extra even only for the use of gym. Shortcomings: Very little open ground around the building, no parking or garage and regarding the breakfast, it could be a little better, esp. more variety of bread is needed, as well as more and better croissants (their quality is very low and they are not warm).
One more shortcoming: The hotel's only lounge (next to the lobby), though very cosy and attractive, was not heated most of the time we were there and its fireplace did not work -- so practically it was unusable. That was big disappointment, especially for the Christmas season, as we often wished to stay inside with our children and friends. The heating was also not always sufficient in the restaurant and the lobby.
There is a medium-size open-air pool, which we did not use, as it was winter. But there is lack of space around the pool, there is no comparison with a resort's pool.

“OK for Rhodes”

The hotels in Rhodes reallyleave somethign to be desired. Some of them can be super expensive and lacking in every way. Rhodos Park Suites was nice, one of the nicest but not so memorable. For visitors, stay one night on Rhodes, 2 topsand move on toMykonos or Santorini. The old town of Rhodes is wonderful but the rest of the island is really nothing special compared to the rest of greece.

“Slightly worn but service and location worth it”

Rodos Park Suites Hotel

We were relieved we selected the Rodos Park Suites to stay in. We were told that most Americans stay at this hotel. Located right outside the main gates of the medieval city, nothing could be more convenient. The other main hotels (Hilton, Rodos Palace) are miles up the road across the street from the "beach" which is frankly not too great looking. The beautiful beaches of Rhodes are not near town. The Rodos Park has definitely seen better days, with wear marks on the lobby and restaurant furniture. A remodel is definitely necessary. The breakfast buffet is below average in quality and selection. Our A/C did not work well. But the intimate feeling, the sincere and attentive service, the feeling of "being part of the family" from its staff, and the unbeatable location makes this hotel the one to stay at in Rhodes with no other peer available to match.
