we have just arrived back in Scotland from this hotel and value for money it is superb. The reception desk was always manned, breakfast fine a good selection and the rooms cleaned daily. We were there at the start of the season and had read some pretty bad reviews before we went but were pleasantly surprised. We don't know what it would be like in high season but too hot for us anyway, when we left on Wednesday 28th May it was 30o.

Anyway like a newspaper don't believe all you read and try it for yourself.

I stayed there for 4 days and i was quite satisfied my ratin is 3 and a half . advantages is the location near the nightlife a little bit further awy from the center of the town just the ay i leked it. Big advantage the people in the reception and general the staff. Disadvatages it is a little bit old but with no problems but not the best looking appearance. Still the price is very tempting i suggest it with no hesitatione.
Ps If you like a very quiet hotel do not choose this one as it is a little i say again a little noisy some nights

Hi, Well as a frequent visitor to Rhodes i have stayed twice at this hotel. My sister also worked here as a holiday rep.
The hotel is quite basic and unfortunatly it has no pool.
But it is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is nice but never changes and it is pretty basic.
The hotel is great for being in the centre where you can get to everything you need. Despite being at the end of bar street very busy pubs and clubs it is quite peaceful hotel.
If you can get a good deal on it then i would definate recommend it. Both times i've stayed there i've had a really good price but many times its the same price as a lot more nicer ones.

I've given The Alexia 5* based on the cost, i paid just over £15 for a night! I've heard several people say it's more of a 2* but it does have tv, 24hr reception, on site bar, great location etc. - all the facilities of a 3*, it's just a little tired.

I have stayed in this hotel before but over 12 years ago now. Since then they've added self catering studios which is what we had. Obviously these have been modernised at some time to incorporate the kitchenette, etc though the bathrooms are exactly as i remember (and they looked pretty dated then!). That said the rooms are clean and comfortable with a couple of cooking rings, fridge, kettle and sandwich maker in the kitchenette and plenty of storage, comfortable beds and a tv (mainly greek channels but bbc news) in the bedroom. There's a balcony off the bedroom and ours was at the front of the hotel so had a sea view. They have replaced the patio doors with a double glazed unit so the noise from busy Orfandinou Street didn't seem too much of an issue.

The location for my needs is superb. The New Town shops are minutes away, the harbour and Old Town around 10-15 mins, Elli Beach can be found on the next street and the main nightlife district just yards from the front door.

If you want luxury or a peaceful location then The Alexia is probably not for you but if you're looking for a friendly, comfortable and central hotel that's good value, it's ideal.
