We have used this hotel as a stopping off point on return journeys from Limoges as it is just over half way home. The standard rooms are ok , 64 euros per night and breakfast 9 euros. Comfortable bed, but the bathrooms are a bit tatty now, have never bothered to upgrade as we spend such a short time there . The reception staff are very pleasant and speak English if so required and are also very patient with me practising my school taught French from many years ago ! Reasonable continental breakfast but they do not have their own restaurant for dinner. However there is a very good restaurant next door.. La Fontaine which has excellent set menus for 18 euros and upwards for 3 courses. Again, pleasant staff and good food at a very reasonable price, it's always been busy and obviously popular with the locals.

Room tip: I prefer first floor rooms as I prefer an open window at night and don't feel comfortable in a ground floor room only for that reason.

Being on a driving holiday we had made no reservations along the way, and apart from the signs promising the hotel in 5ks it was a great deal further! but upon arrival we were greeted by helpful and pleasant staff. The room was large and comfortable and clean. Excellent value for money.

We stopped off here while visiting my uncles memorial, we took the hotel because it was a 3 star and there were no higher ones near by. Although the hotel was pleasant and the staff were as helpful as they could be it was not what I would expect of a three star hotel. There was no restaurant, although there is an excellent one very close to the hotel. No English was spoken, although that add to the holiday. The rooms were small and clean, but just adequate. On the good side there is a very nice pool that can be covered when the weather drops. Good for an overnight stay, not so good for much longer.

Room tip: if it's warm, take an up stairs room or you have to sleep with your window closed.

Splendid and convenient place for a stopover on the way back to the ferry. Very acceptable meal in the attached restaurant. Staff were helpful and room at back of hotel quiet once the people in the next room found that the adjoining door was locked!

We regularly use this as a stop over for our summer holiday trips to Vendee. Indeed we are looking to book again on the way there & back. The owners are very friendly speak better English than my French! We have never used to pool but may this time as we will have more time. The breakfast is good & plentiful. There is a small bar area but there is also a wonderful restaurant next door that has a bigger bar. All in all a great little find.
