I stayed with my boyfriend for 7 nights in Santorini, the island is very romantic and the Hotel is wonderful! Located at the quiest part of the Island. The rooms are nicely decorated, well cleaned and maintained. Andreas, his brother and the team are nice people (He helped us with any enquiry we had!). The views of the Caldera and the sunset are fantastic. On the surroundings there are nice greek restaurants. Perfect for a romantic and relaxing holidays! Can´t wait to come back!

When we first reseached hotel accommodations in Santorini, we relied upon the Trip Advisor site for customer reviews to help us narrow down our search. Thanks to all who took the time to recommend Sunny Villas!!

We checked in after a long flight and went right to the pool to enjoy a frozen cocktail and take in the most breathtaking view you could ever imagine!! We experienced excellent service from the owners, Andreas and Mihalis, as well as the other staff members. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and site-seeing and go out of the way to make their customer's stay as comfortable as possible.

Our room was clean and larger than many I've stayed in while visiting other European cities. And the air conditioning works great!! The bathrooms were a bit small (as in true European standard) but our room had a nice vanity with mirror, table and chair so the lack of space in the bathroom was no problem. The hotel is located in a great area of Santorini (Imerovigli) and was quiet (very romantic for couples!!). We started our mornings with breakfast on our private balcony (I highly recommend the fruit and yogurt!) and enjoyed the sunset on the balcony with a bottle of wine (thank you Andreas!)

We wanted a private boat tour of the caldera so Andreas recommended Alex's Boat Rental. We had a tour guide/boat captain by the name of Panayiotis who was an absolute sweetheart and a wealth of knowledge with regard to anything and everything Santorini. It was money well spent for a two-hour sunset cruise and we loved it!

One note of warning: Because Imerovigli is built on a cliff, it could be very difficult for older people to handle the stairs to some of the hotels. I wouldn't want my Mom to have to climb the stairs so I just wanted to include this tidbit of information.

Just returned from a FABULOUS 3-night stay at the Hotel Sunny Villas in Santorini! We stayed in a total of 5 different hotels during our visit to the Greek Islands and the Sunny Villas beats all other accommodations, hands down.

We arrived on an early ferry from Athens and were warmly welcomed by Andreas (HI Andreas!) and his staff who were more than helpful in assisting us with our bags – huge bags. Our room was not quite ready, so we decided to rest by the pool and enjoy the view (the VIEW!) with a few drinks. Simon, the bartender was quick, cheerful and personable -- we got to know him quite well during our stay, as the Sunny Villas pool bar is a superb spot for an evening cocktail during sunset.

Once our room was ready, Andreas actually gave us an option of which suite we preferred – both were absolutely lovely with breathtaking views! We opted for the larger of the two and in minutes our bags were delivered to our room. (see pics!) We (husband and myself) were traveling with another couple (my cousin and his wife, who arrived later in the day) so were able to see a few different rooms at the Sunny Villas – I can say without hesitation, that I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the accommodations! Each room is unique with beautiful furnishings & impeccably clean. Andreas gave us a tour of the 2-bedroom villa for 4, which is absolutely stunning – please see the photos for details!

The location is fantastic – as mentioned earlier, it is away from the crowds in Fira, but within easy walking distance along the caldera path (or a 5 euro cab ride). We loved being in Imerovogli …and thought the sunset views were just as beautiful, if not more so, than in Oia. There area several little supermarkets within walking distance, perfect for snacks, wine, cheese, etc. We had breakfast/lunch at the Blue Note, which is right next door – the food was great and the fresh squeezed orange juice a big hit with my traveling companions. There are a few little restaurants nearby, which are perfect for lunch. We also hiked the little (big!) “mountain” – “Skaros” (sp?) which is directly in front of the Sunny Villas, a hike we highly recommend!

Overall, I would not hesitate for a second recommending the Sunny Villas to anyone! It’s romantic, charming, clean, superbly located – and above all – has the most spectacular view on the island and the most hospitable, helpful and funny Andreas! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I just returned from a magical 4 nights at Sunny Villas. After a long bus ride in central Greece followed by our short flight from Athens, we were greeted by Andreas with hospitality that you would expect from an old friend. From that moment on, our expectations were exceeded and we had an absolutely fabulous time. The room was comfortable, romantic and very clean and opened up to our own private terrace with the best view on the island (where they brought us breakfast every morning!).

Simon at the pool bar was warm and friendly and even carried our bags up the stairs and to the main road for us when we checked out. In every way we felt like the staff at Sunny Villas was there for us and eager to help in any way they could.

On the day we were scheduled to leave it was raining and Andreas called us in our room and told us that we didn't need to worry about checking out by the scheduled time and were welcome to use the room that day until we needed to be at the port to catch our ferry. He even offered to bring us fresh towels. This level of service was genuine, unexpected and appreciated!

As to the location, it really is the best place to stay in Santorini because you are away from the noise of Fira yet still close enough to walk in the evenings.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic, authentic experience - we will never forget it!

- try the Lamb Kleftiko at the Blue Note restaurant. Absolutely divine!

-rent a quad and tour the small villages of Santorini

-go to the Red Sand beach for great swimming and beautiful atmosphere
