I recently stayed at this hotel with a group of friends, we found all members of staff were all very good and prompt with service.

The hotel is near to the shopping centre which also has plenty of nightlife and altho its quite near, there is hardly a mermer of noise during the night. The apartemnt was very well presented and clean and had the basic facilities that you require whilst on holiday.

The only two down sides to the hotel is that to walk anywhere from it you will have to walk down and then back up a lot of steps, in fact we counted from the centre to hotel it was 124 steps, altho a taxi would probably be cheap enough.

The other is that the pool is quite small and is only really there to have a dip in to cool off when sunbathing and thats about it.

My partner and I have just returned from a weeks stay in the Cala Nova apartments and we had a fantastic holiday. The apartments was spacious and clean with a large balcony. Maid service was in every 2 days changing towels and sheets.
Pool area is nice though a little small, I would imagine in the busy season it would be very crowded. Entertainment for both adults and children till around 1am.
Apartments are about a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute walk to the centre. The reps advised us to get a taxi to the centre but that is not necessary.

overall we had a fantastic holiday in and plan to return to Cala Nova in the near future

We were happy with our stay at the Cala Nova. Clean rooms, nice decor, although the apartment was a little small. Spacious balcony area and clean bathroom. Location of the hotel was also good. It took about 10 mintues to walk to the beach, which in comparison to other hotels located a lot higher up, wasnt bad at all. The hotel was pleasing in all aspects, although would not really reccommend the area for night life, as you will find yourself in the same kind of places every night unless you choose to travel to different areas. Some good restaurants, especially the Natraj, an Indian restaurant located in the main shopping/bar area. By far the best meal we had out there, and also much better quality than most indian restaurants in London which was quite surprising. Would recommend the hotel, but would not recommend the area for couples/groups of friends as I found it a little dull for the evenings.

I have just returned from Cala Nova today (Sunday 22nd Feb 2008) the hotel is very good, really clean rooms, bar area, pool area etc, well stocked shop open 24 hrs, all the staff were very nice and helpful, i booked on a guaranteed 3 star with thomas cook not knowing where i was going and the place was spot on, well done thomas cook. Its a 5 min walk to all the bars , restaurants, shops, 10 min walk to the beach/harbour and 5 min to the buses /taxis.the steps are not a problem at all unless disabled but then every hotel in Puerto Rico is on a hill thats whats its know for, so if you dont like steps go else where, if any fault the pool side could be bigger, i would imagine during peak summer it will be quite full. enjoy.
