Arrived at the Aquasol and the first thing you see from your balcony is the view of the harbour, the beach and how high you are up the hill (breath taking). The apartment itself was very clean with everything close to hand. You had maid service 5 out of 7 days. The week we were there only a third of the 50 apartments appear to have been let, this was even nicer as the pool area did not get too crowded. The staff at the Pool bar were very friendly with a great range of drinks and snacks, a happy hour every day 4 til 5 pm and cocktail hour 11 til midnight. The walk down to the main shopping centre was only 15 mins or 2 euros in a taxi. this is were the bars, clubs and restaurants are all found with something for all ages and families. A must have is the massive sunday roast at The Royal Oak.
The other side and right at the top of the hill you you will find the Europe centre again filled with pubs and restaurants. The Barbacoa club has great entertainment with three different shows a night including cabaret singers impressionists and comedians. majority are for all the family. Meals are available here and always looked full of happy customers.
The only downfall we found to this holiday are the promotional reps which litter every pavement. where you can win holidays and electrical equipment if only you assist them with looking to purchase future holidays direct from their head office and not through the high street travel agents.
But dont let this put you off as after a while you know how to handle and avoid them.
Trips and things to do can be purchased from the WOW ticket offices, cheaper than your reps especially if there in a large group.
There are supermarkets nearly on every corner for all the things you may have forgotten.
In all a fab week and a definate return to the resort.

Me and my family stayed on a five night break at the Aquasol in February of this year,
Obviously at that time it was very peaceful but very pleasant to walk along the front of Palma Nova Bay, plenty of shops were open and places to eat without the madness of peak times.
As for the Aquasol, it was first class in every way, we stayed on a half board basis and i must admit that the food was excellent with plenty of choice, good cooked breakfast and likewise for the evening meal.
The most outstanding features were the size of the apartments with nice size balconies and the entertainment in the evenings was brilliant.
Very difficult to fault this hotel in any way, no matter what time of the year i am certain it will give very good value for money.

good apartments, friendly staff excellent views if you are going to go to puerto rico i would definitley advise staying in one of the hotels right at the top of either hill we stayed in one on either side and this was definitley my favourite the hill is very steep but there are winding pathways and steps down to puerto rico town so it only takes 10 mins to walk and costs 3 euros to taxi back this was an extremely clean hotel which we found to be a great suntrap and is great value for money the only fault is as with many others in the canaries self catering facilities are not great and consist of a 2 ring hob basic pans and utensils and a fridge but it is so cheap to eat out anyway you hardly need to use them.if you do go to puerto rico have a trip to scruffy murphys irish bar in the town centre as although a little bit more expensive than some for drinks it makes up for it by having the funniest entertainment ever we were there every night and thoroughly enjoyed every minute definitley one of the best bars ever.
