Dirty room, broken tiles, shower didn't work (no shower head), bed linen dirty, pillows limp and dead skin infested, bare electrical wires everywere, dingy corridors and reception, pool area had broken tiles everywere, Only good point was the bar downstairs which doesn't belong to the hotel I believe. I didn't want to chance the weekly bbq. Enjoy

Booked the Tobago Apartments through Escapades, and had a really good deal! Only paid £220 for a week in June. Travel Agebnt told us (group of 5 girls) upon booking that it was alovely hotel ina good locatrion though a little bit basic but very clean and tidy! How she saw it clean i do not know!
Upon arrival (at 2.30am) reception was dark and dingy but we all thought give it a chance wait till the morning. We were then given keys to our 2 rooms (1 for 3, and 1 for 2). This is when the reality struck on the basicness of the hotel.
It took me 10 mins to open the door, when it was opened the room was hideous. The tiles in the bathroom were caving in, there were wires hanging out from the light fittings in the bathroom, considerably dangerous when condesation occurs. Our second room was not much better there was a strong sewerage smell which was lingering the whole time we were there, the fridge was disgusting and non useabel for food or water, again live wires were hanging from light fittings.
The balcony doors were unsafe and couldbe easily opened by anyone. Even the bed lining was disgusting, with big moth holes, and stains all over them.
We stayed there a total of 5 hours before we complained to our representatives. We were then moved the Tamanaco Apartments which are running in the Aspro brochure and it was a million times better, it had only been open 4 days when we went there.
Considering we only paid £220 for th holiday i wasnt expecting 5 star luxury, but the Tabago Apartments were unworthy of even a 1 star rating.
I would advise all people no matter how cheap the apartments may be avoid it at all costs its ot worth the visit!!!!!!

I thought I should write a review of my own experience as a travel agent. I booked the Tobago Apartments as it was a good price but I would really reccommend you pay that little bit more and go somewhere nicer! PRICE IS NOT EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
Location: Really good, only a few minutes from the beach via steps and a 5-10 minute walk to main commercial area.
Beach: Amazing! Lovely bay area.
Hotel Room: Disgusting. Our room had stained bed linen and a colony of ants but to be honest I did not see 1 cockroach! Very small and a limited area to cook anything, but I would just eat out as all the cutlery, pot's and pans were ancient!
Pool area: The thought of all the half naked people repulse me to this day!!! not enough sun loungers if I wanted to go out there anyway!
Food & Drink: No food options apart from a dodgy BBQ which I did not bother with!
Cats: A rather weird subject....there are many cats around Peurto Rico, many of which mate on the roof tops whilst you eat your evening meal in the main commercial area(wierd). At the Tobago Apartments, there were cats screaching into early hoursof the night and fighting in the corridors, I was really not impressed!
Spanish guests: What I did not get told, even as a travel agent is that these apartments are partly shared with live in guests who are really rude!
Maid Service: They came once in 7 days, not enough!
Bathroom: Only a leaky shower which stunk!

OVERALL: Please do not go to this apartment! I beg you, I feel very guilty for anyone I sent there before I went myself!
DON'T be put off Peurto Rico, in a better hotel I would have loved my hols, I will go back if I get a cheap staff deal!

i goto be honest i stayed at the tobago studios and we had a lovely time, when we arrived we were put in a room on the botom floor which was a litle dingy basicly cos there was no sun comin in the room cos it was on the bottom floor, but we asked to move str8 away and we were placed in a room on a higer floor with a fantastic view on Pourto rico beach, for what we paid £500 i thought the holiday was fantastic great for familys and couples the weather was lovely every day. back to the hotel the staff where friendly there was a night receptionist that seamed a litle grumpy but we soon got over that. bar staff were polite and profestional. nothin was to much at the tobago studios and i cant understand why all theese other reviews have come back so bad id recomend this hotel over and over again id even go back my self. the location was also great because alot of the hotels where so far from the beach butb this was a 2 min walk to the beach and shoppin center! happy holidays
