Myself, wife and our 3 yr old had a week in the suites in April, we booked last minute as our folks were heading out there for 2 weeks, and we get fed up seeing them come back all tanned and happy!! so we thought let's go and enjoy too..
Here's out take on it;
Hotel - fab, rooms very spacious, large balcony, although with a climbing 3 yr old lad the height on balcony handrail could have been higher.
Room was large, 2 large beds in back room, and large sofa bed for the little lad, TV for hire, i think €25 for week, but good selection on channels, ideal after day in pool or beach, most of the time our lad fell asleep watching and was crashed out for night then..
Air conditoning was available, we didn't hire as our room had the much talked about ceiling fans, we found even in hottest nights were good and very cooling.
Shower was poor, ran out of water after about 10 minutes, and took 20 to re-heat in small boiler type machine in bathroom, we only by chance found switch in cupboard to turn it on/off - or else it would have been a cold shower each night!
overall rooms were great, super view out acros the town, commercial centre and towards the sea.
Location - although set back a good bit for the beach, the real positive for us, was it was a flat walk from apartments to beach straight down a path, past commercial centre and out onto beach - no hills and no need for taxis, i have read other reports and reviews saying 20 minutes walk - perhaps... if on crutches!!
Beach - excelllent, plenty to do, great warm water, but does get deep quick so not ideal for little ones, we walked to the beach in Amadores, about 15 mins, this was much nicer, but packed.
Commercial Centre - ok, but is basically a concrete block packed with places to eat and drink, we found the folllowing the best, to eat- San Miguels, cheap, 3 courses for 3 of us, childs meal and a couple of beers around €40.00 - excellent value and meals spot on. Personally we prefer a beachfront centre, nice stroll and great views, we found Lanzarote better for this.
We found a small bar called Sun Spot on uppper level outside, very cheap, around 90 cent a pint, and good prices all round.
Also try M&Ms bar - again very good.
There is a great boat ride to Puerto Mogan on a Saturday, about €15 euro return on ferry, there is a market there, loads of stalls, great choice and a lot cheaper then the shops in Commercial centre, make sure you haggle though.. get a bargin.
Overall we had a great time, apartments and location was ideal for us, for coupes and those with young kids i would highly reccomend these apartments - defiinitely the best i seen in my time there.
And of course, the weather was great, up in the high 30's while we were there.
Enjoy... and give them a go.
