We stayed here in February and couldn't wait to return. This time we booked 'rahmoune' - a modern stylish room with a luxury bathroom. The private hot tub was an ideal way to relax after our wedding with a glass or two of champagne! The owner David made our stay extra special and we returned after a fantastic dinner to a candlelit patio. This has become our favourite place to stay. It's first class

I wanted somewhere special for our wedding anniversary. My wife and I already love Wensleydale and I saw this hotel a few weeks ago promoted (with a competition to stay) on the North East tourist board site. Sadly I didn't win but chose to go last weekend on the Sunday night as it was fully booked on the Saturday.

We had the Bainbridge room with a queen sized bed and a bathroom (bigger than most bedrooms) with a double shower and slipper bath. Fixtures and fitting were chosen with great care and it was evident that the owners design skills were top class. Very comfortable with a view to the West along the river. Plenty of space, in the bedroom and particlarly the bathroom.

The restaurant was clearly already popular with non-residents for Sunday lunch with the car park full when we arrived. Our evening meal was excellent with my steak the best I've had since I was in Argentina. My wife enjoyed duck and both the starter and dessert. Breakfast was good with a continental range rather than a multitude of stale cereals as is usual in England.

We had a tour of all the rooms, including the twin bath Greenwich loft room (very special but not suitable for the very tall like me), the owner's pride and enthusiasm came through, each feature has a personal inspiration.

It's not cheap but it is special and is fortunate to be in a beautiful place with lots of easy walking right from the door. If all you want is a bed and breakfast then there are cheaper options but if you want style, attention to detail and a feeling of luxury in an intimate environment then this is the place

Highly recommended. I wish the owners well.

I'm in a mixed mind about writing this review ... I definitely want the hotel to be a success ... the only thing is i don't want it to get too well known so i can't book in ... when ever i need to get away!!! I'm sure this place will, in no time what so ever, become very well visited.

Where to begin ... the weekend was such a treat. ... The host, unfortunately we only managed to meet David while we stopped at. That said I'm sure that when we are next visiting we will meet Charlotte. And we have already booked to go back!

David was only too happy to help both the hotel's guests and restaurant visitors. He made us feel very welcome and made every effort to make sure our trip was both memorable and enjoyable. Which it was (thanks).

The food during the stay served up by Head Chef James Fiske was excellent. The produce was all sourced locally and served to perfection. I even managed to thank the Chef personally, the meals were that good.

I do with both David and Charlotte all the luck for the future ... but let's keep it our secret!

This hotel only opened on Saturday 26 January 2008! Me and my wife visited for Sunday lunch the next day and were given a guided tour by the owners, David and Charlotte, a charming young couple full of enthusiasm.

I have stayed in many hotels in and around the Dales (it is our favourite 'short break' destination) and have to admiit that the Yorebridge is one of a kind, offering the most luxurious bedrooms with bathrooms to die for !!

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at an excellent price for such a high quality meal, all the staff are friendly and keen to help without being too obtrusive. The dining room has wonderful views over Wensleydale and is perferct, the bar and lounge area are excellent for pre-lunch/dinner drinks and/or coffee afterwards or simply just a drink by the log fire!

This hotel is easily up there with The Star at Harome and the Angel in Hetton (I personally think better!!) I hope David & Charlotte receive the recognition (and bookings!) they deserve.

Added to all this, they are planning a Spa and 3 extra bedrooms at the rear of the hotel, again, all with stunning views of the Dales.

Going back to the bedrooms....there are currently 7 in the main hotel, 3 on the ground floor each a with large jacuzzi on a private terrace !!! 3 on the first floor and 1 on the 2nd floor called the Greenwich (Loft Suite) which is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...a huge bedroom, huge bathroom with 2 baths side by side and a lounge which is almost like having your own private cinema room with wall mounted Bang & Olufsen LCD TV (same TV in the bedroom and ALL other bedrooms!!) and a curved leather 8 person(?!) settee facing the TV....you have to see it to believe it!!

I could rave on and on but all I can say is...go and experience it for yourself, everything is so tastefully done, from the colour schemes to the chandeliers, it will appeal and impress everyone, young and old alike.
I have booked to go back for valentines night, staying in the Bainbridge suite (I am saving the Greenwich suire for another time!) and I can't wait....neither can my wife !!
