Calibishie Lodges was the second place we stayed wit my boyfriend. It was good choice to finish our trip.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was big and very comfortable. If you plane to stay long you can cook your own food.
The food in the Bamboo restaurant is delicious.
The room was clean and cool during the night, no mosquitos or any kind of bugs.
The locals are so friendly and proud of their country. THE MOST SAFE place in the world.

My girlfriend and I vacationed for 14 days at Calibishie Lodges. We saw many people come and go while we stayed at the lodges the entire 14 days...and we were happy to stay the entire time. After booking the 14 day package with Calibishie earlier this year, I discovered that most people book numerous hotels around the island for such a long stay. I have to admit, I was worried that we would miss out. To put it simply--we didn't. The entire experience was everything I'd hoped it would be, and I have Chris and Linda at Calibishie Lodges to thank for it.

The rooms are nice, very clean, and there is plenty of space for two people to relax. It does get a bit hot during the afternoon,
so plan to make your way out during the heat of the day. While you're gone, maid service will work wonders on your room. I was
thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of this place. We were never bothered by mosquitoes. Visit Pointe Baptiste Beach (amazing) or take the local bus into town while your room is occupied (it's cheap and safe!!!) You can also stroll through the village at your leisure. Dominica is unique in that it is safe to roam wherever you'd like at virtually any time you'd like. After being harrassed in Jamaica last year by local after local, it was so refreshing to see a local people so proud of their homeland and so welcoming to people like us. It is definitely a unique Caribbean experience. Explore and feel safe wherever you go---you can't say that about the USA!!!

The restaurant is excellent. The preparation of the food was perfect every night, and the selection is more than ample. From the fresh juices at breakfast to the deserts at night, we were anxious to find out what the kitchen would be gracing us with everyday. Everything that we had was enjoyed by both of us---and my girlfriend is a seriously picky eater, so that's saying something!
Reccommendations---the beef stew and the ICE CREAM.

You can book excursions through the Lodges or just get info on where to go from Chris and Linda. They can always point you in
the direction of something you will enjoy. This leads me to them----Chris and Linda had family in town for the time that we stayed with them, and after my girlfriend and I presented them with the excursions that we wanted to do, they planned and itinerary for us so that we could accompany them and their family members on some choice excursions, saving us a serious amount of money and giving us the opportunity to get to know them and their family members personally. We went whale watching, snorkelling, and hiking with all of them and this was definitely the highlight of our trip. We truly felt like "one of the family" and were treated as such by all of them. What a fine example of the kind of people that Chris and Linda (and their family members) are. You can truly expect nothing but the absolute best in regards to service and kindness from these people. I cannot thank them enough!

Many, many thanks to Chris, Linda, Benjy, Jenner, Jerome, Deborah, Mr. William and the rest of the crew at Calibishie Lodges for making our dream vacation a reality. We can't wait to come back and bring you OUR family next time!!!

I feel badly that I haven't gotten around to this yet...Chris and Linda deserved our testimonial before now, but it looks like we have just about the same kind of great memories of the place that everybody else had.

These people are the best...anything they can do to make your stay in paradise a little nicer, they did it for us.

We wish them long life and happiness in paradise.

The locals are great. You don't feel unsafe at night walking the streets of the town, and despite the excellent food in the lodge, do explore the restaurants just down the street for at least a couple of meals-you won't regret it!

Had a great time at Calibishie Lodges we ate here as in June/July there was nowhere else to eat as the village restaurants where all closed as this is classed as out of season but the food was very good. The owners were excellent with advise on where to go and what to see and organising trips even when one of our party broke her leg they were very helpful arranging for them to have meals in their room and showed great concern nothing was too much trouble. We had an upstairs lodge which was very nice with good views.
