This is a cozy-but-spacious restaurant with a menu that incorporates both local flavors and European style cuisine (French, Spanish, Italian). The menu is fairly large with daily specials, and the dishes were freshly prepared. I had some delicious seafood paella, and my niece had some tasty pasta, and both of us enjoyed the first fresh salads we had seen since San Juan! Their dessert specialty is "fried cheesecake," which I would have never ordered but for traveling with an 11-year old whose favorite desert is cheesecake. It was actually quite delicious, and a very inventive Puerto Rican spin on New York - style cheesecake. The menu contains both some very sophisticated dishes and some crowd-pleasers -- both kids and adults, picky and adventuresome, can find something to like on the menu. There is also a full bar and decent wine list. It's a very short walk from the Luquillo Sunrise Inn where we stayed. Give it a try -- especially if you have grown weary of fried food!
