Stayed at the hotel for a week in September with partner and 2 year old son. It was Awful. The resort is a ghost town. There is 1 supermarket and 2 Spanish restraunts and thats it. You cant even go for a walk round the town. Its lanes! We always go on 3 or 4 all inclusive holidays a year and are open minded.

The beach is beautuful but is down about 100 steep steps. Not good for a pram or disabled. Thats the only good point.

Rooms and communal areas were clean.

Food was fair and thats being kind. Very bland and repetitive. We didnt bother going for breakfast. It was greasy and cold no matter what time you went. Lunch basic and evening meal poor. Restraunt and reception staff rude. Bar staff great. Entertainment was pathetic. Majority of guests were German and entertainment was catered for them. If I was german, Id also be disapointed with entertainment. On Saturday there was no entertainment at all. Ive never met such a bunch of rude arrogant people in my life as the German guests. they thought they owned the hotel.

Bus goes 3 times a day to Santa Eulalia. Taxi to Escana about 12 euros each way.

Id never recomend this hotel to anyone. Its like a cheap budget version of Butlins. Id recommend spending a little extra and stay in a different hotel in a larger resort. Its well worth spending a little extra, because the amount you save on this hotel will be spent on Taxis!!!

“Loved it......”

Ola Club Cala Llenya

4 Sep 2007

What can I say.....SUPERB - We have just returned(2 adults & 2 kids aged 11 & 8) from a week at the Ola Club Cala Llenya.
I booked direct with the hotel and flew Easy Jet out of East Mids. For a week AI in the six weeks holidays it was brilliant value. Taxi from the airport to the resort is 40 Euro's, which is a lot cheaper than booking a transfer on-line.
The complex is very clean, and the 1 bed apartment was great. It was cleaned every day apart from Wednesday which is the maids day off.
I can honestly say that the kids were never bored and they made many friends. The animation team were superb for both the kids and the adults and the water polo was certainly different! They weren't forceful, but they would always ask if you wanted to join in.
The restaurant was fine and spotlessly clean and although they were a little slow replenishing the food, the complex was very full and quite busy, so this could be excused. The food was great and there was always something for the kids to choose from.
The place is quite isolated, but we prefer it that way. The beach is a five minute walk away and is beautiful. The sea is crystal clear and the kids loved it.
We caught a taxi to Es Cana which was 12 Euros, and this is a busy town, and if you want some nightlife and good bars I would suggest you go there.
All in all it was a great and relaxing holiday, which both ourselves and the children thoroughly enjoyed.
I will have no hesitation returning and a lot of the other guests said the same thing.
Roll on 2008...............

This is a fantastic holiday experience for families and couples. We went there with our two sons aged eight and five.Lots of Dutch,Germans,English and Irish. We were there seven years ago and will definetely return.Food was great in the all-inclusive restaurant but what made the holiday so memorable was the entertainment-the on site entertainers at night were much better than the outside acts brought in.Everyone we met really enjoyed the place and vowed to return. We go on three all-inclusive holidays a year but Cala Llenya was much better than anywhere else we have been.
Three cheers for Kim,Elvira,Samuel,Trudy and Audry(the entertainment team).
We usually like trying different places-Ola Club Cala Llenya is the only place we have been in twice but it's likely that we will return there every year instead of trying new places-it is far superior to anywhere else we have been in every respect-food,service and especially entertainment-it is an oasis of sun, fun, good food and facilities and excellent value for money. We rented a car but left it back early because we were happy to soak up the wonderful atmosphere here.Highly recommended-no complaints at all!

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week from 19th August 2007 with our 7 year old daughter.

It was excellent. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was quite big and airy. Bathroom good size. Cleaners did an excellent job and I would say it is the cleanest property we have stayed in.

It is very isolated. We found 2 supermarkets just about 2 minutes walk away and there is a pizza restaurant and another restaurant about 2 minutes away as well. We did go to St Eularia a few times and it cost 13 euro each way in a taxi.

Staff are the nicest people we have met yet and could not do enough for you. Entertainment was great for the children and the team worked hard day and night to keep everyone happy. My daughter cried when she was saying bye to them and they actually came to wave us off in our taxi when we were leaving which I thought was such a nice touch.

Would recommend this hotel to families.

We will probably not go back to it because of it's location but we will be trying some of the other hotels in this group

We booked this hotel last minute really for myself, my husband and 2 boys (8 and 3) for a week from 13 August 2007. The apartments are brilliant - they are really clean and very spacious. You normally don't get apartments on all inclusives, so this was an added bonus to have a separate bedroom and kitchen!
There are 2 pools - one main pool and one baby pool. You need to be up very early to get a sunbed though. I was up at 8am one morning and only just managed to get the last remaining sunbeds! (I am sure they put them out the night before - lol!)
Food was just average - I have had better at other all inclusive hotels, but there was always something i could find to eat. It was very repetative though - whatever desserts they had out at lunchtime, the same desserts were out at evening meal.
The Animation team did work hard to get you to join in and provided entertainment at nights of a mini disco for the kids and then some form of show afterwards (again I have seen better - but was a laugh if nothing else)
One brilliant thing is the Kids clubs. They have a baby club which runs for 2 hours a day from 11-12 and 3-4pm. This is for upto 4 year olds and then another club for the older children - which is about 1.5 hours in the morning and same in the afternoon.

The Beach is about a 10 minute walk away and it a small sandy cove - it really was beautiful with lovely golden sand. It is abit of a rocky path to get down to it but worth it when you get there. The only problem we had was the sea was swarmed with Jelly Fish. I am sure it is not like this all the time, as I have read reports in the paper due to the hot weather there are Jelly Fish being reported alot more. It was so bad though that we couldn't let the children in the sea and the Jelly Fish were also being washed up onto the shore with the waves. We were there for an hour and probably saw about 30 Jelly Fish in total. It was a real shame as the beach was really nice.

One problem we did have whilst we were there was there was alot of sickness and diarohhea - I myself got this and nearly everyone you spoke to - someone in their family had suffered with it - so it was obviously a bug going around. The staff at the hotel were always cleaning - so it defintely wasn't a dirty hotel. Sometimes it is just one of them things I suppose - it didn;t spoil my holiday anyway - was just out of action for 1 day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to families with small children as we had a fantastic holiday and didn't want to come home. The kids absolutely loved it - which i think says it all !!
