We stayed in this hotel for 1 week from 19th August 2007 with our 7 year old daughter.

It was excellent. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was quite big and airy. Bathroom good size. Cleaners did an excellent job and I would say it is the cleanest property we have stayed in.

It is very isolated. We found 2 supermarkets just about 2 minutes walk away and there is a pizza restaurant and another restaurant about 2 minutes away as well. We did go to St Eularia a few times and it cost 13 euro each way in a taxi.

Staff are the nicest people we have met yet and could not do enough for you. Entertainment was great for the children and the team worked hard day and night to keep everyone happy. My daughter cried when she was saying bye to them and they actually came to wave us off in our taxi when we were leaving which I thought was such a nice touch.

Would recommend this hotel to families.

We will probably not go back to it because of it's location but we will be trying some of the other hotels in this group

“Good All-inclusive hotel - great for the kids”

We booked this hotel last minute really for myself, my husband and 2 boys (8 and 3) for a week from 13 August 2007. The apartments are brilliant - they are really clean and very spacious. You normally don't get apartments on all inclusives, so this was an added bonus to have a separate bedroom and kitchen!
There are 2 pools - one main pool and one baby pool. You need to be up very early to get a sunbed though. I was up at 8am one morning and only just managed to get the last remaining sunbeds! (I am sure they put them out the night before - lol!)
Food was just average - I have had better at other all inclusive hotels, but there was always something i could find to eat. It was very repetative though - whatever desserts they had out at lunchtime, the same desserts were out at evening meal.
The Animation team did work hard to get you to join in and provided entertainment at nights of a mini disco for the kids and then some form of show afterwards (again I have seen better - but was a laugh if nothing else)
One brilliant thing is the Kids clubs. They have a baby club which runs for 2 hours a day from 11-12 and 3-4pm. This is for upto 4 year olds and then another club for the older children - which is about 1.5 hours in the morning and same in the afternoon.

The Beach is about a 10 minute walk away and it a small sandy cove - it really was beautiful with lovely golden sand. It is abit of a rocky path to get down to it but worth it when you get there. The only problem we had was the sea was swarmed with Jelly Fish. I am sure it is not like this all the time, as I have read reports in the paper due to the hot weather there are Jelly Fish being reported alot more. It was so bad though that we couldn't let the children in the sea and the Jelly Fish were also being washed up onto the shore with the waves. We were there for an hour and probably saw about 30 Jelly Fish in total. It was a real shame as the beach was really nice.

One problem we did have whilst we were there was there was alot of sickness and diarohhea - I myself got this and nearly everyone you spoke to - someone in their family had suffered with it - so it was obviously a bug going around. The staff at the hotel were always cleaning - so it defintely wasn't a dirty hotel. Sometimes it is just one of them things I suppose - it didn;t spoil my holiday anyway - was just out of action for 1 day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to families with small children as we had a fantastic holiday and didn't want to come home. The kids absolutely loved it - which i think says it all !!

“Not the best holiday i have had”

Ola Club Cala Llenya

19 Aug 2007

stay here in aug 2007 with my 18 month daughter and partner . was nt over impressed, we did nt get the room we paid for they tried to give us a double room when we had booked a one bed appartment next day we got given a studio still not what we had paid for but did nt want it to ruin our hol so excepted this is all we were going to get alot of the families had had the same problem think what made it worse was that there was no apology or explaination.
Then two days after we got there our daughter got a stomach bug and then we did , there was alot of people that seemed to be ill , kids being sick by the pool . goes with out saying we had a bad holiday .
on a brighter note the rooms were clean and the food was good when we could eat ( re stomach bug),think we were just very unlucky .

“Cannot fault this hotel”

My husband and I and our two kids (6 and 2) have recently returned from a 9 day stay at the Ola Club Cala Llenya. It's true, it really IS in the middle of nowhere with just one shop, one restaurant and one other pub. BUT... the hotel is fantastic and we didn't feel the need to leave the complex. We did venture out one day though to go to the quiet and pleasantly basic beach. It was such a relief to go to a beach that has plenty of space and less hussle and bustle that you normally find in other resorts. It's a bit tricky to get to with a pram as it's down a rocky path followed by lots of steps, but we managed it and had no regrets when we got there.

The Ola Club Cala Llenya is set in beautiful gardens with many appartments on its grounds. Rooms were excellent with fridge and cooker in the appartments which is unusual in an All Inclusive hotel. Air conditioning was throughout the hotel and all appartments and there was a daily cleaning service which again was faultless. There are 2 swimming pools - one quite large and one smaller pool with plenty of shaded areas for the toddlers. There were plenty of beds and tables/chairs surrounding the pool areas.

The food at this hotel was great with loads of variety every day. Although the kids lived mostly off chips and chicken nuggets (they were on holiday after all), me and my husband enjoyed a variety of different dishes for breakfast, lunch and evening meal. The hotel also had snacks throughout the day which included fresh cakes and biscuits from the restaurant and crisps and ice creams from the bar. You certainly won't go hungry. And unlike many other all inclusive hotels, provision of snacks and drinks don't finish early!

The animation team worked tirelessly every day and night keeping children and adults entertained with games, mini disco, bingo and various acts.

Overall I would say this is the best all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed in the and I am quite fussy! Perhaps not the most convenient if you want to go sightseeing or clubbing, but for families with kids who wish to make the most of an all inclusive stay - this is the place to be.

We have stayed here for two weeks in Aug 2005, and loved it so much we came back in 2006 for another two weeks. We travelled with 2 children and 2 teenagers. The younger kids aged 6 and 7 cried going home on both occasions. The teenagers now 17 and 18 had a fanastic time. Where do I start.. The hotel complex is very well maintained and very clean. Staff are brilliant. First year there I took very ill and needed to be hospitalised for a few days. Staff were fantastic and really helped out with the family, and kept in touch with the hospital to ensure I was ok. The gardens are amazing. The beach is a short walk at the back of the complex... not easy to reach as it is steps down a cliff edge, but a beautiful beach, not too busy, with plenty of watersports and pedallos to keep older kids amused. the pool area is nice and at night time becomes the entertainment area. There is a separate pool for young children which is very safe and well away from the deep pool. Lifeguard on duty every day too. Kids clubs are brilliant and my two youngest - who are quite shy - could not wait to go every day. The night time entertainment was based around family fun with a mini disco and then a show. The food was great. Plenty of choice especially for picky eaters, and plenty of fresh fruits and breads, cheeses and meats throughout the day. The all inc. option is a life saver for the kids with all the ice cream and drinks they wanted all day long. The complex is quite big, which was good for the teenagers as they could have a bit of independence whilst you knew they were not far away. The bus service to the town is very scarce but a taxi is about €14 and worth it to stock up. The supermarket at the back of the complex is well stocked and resonable too. Unfortunatly, we are not able to go back this year, but I hope to go again next year and would highly recommend this property to families with children from 0 - 16 years of age.
