after coming back from holiday in cornwall, my family and i decided to go out for a day. we decided to go to thorpe park as we had never been before and we wanted to see the area's etc.
it was one of the best experiances ever and thorpe park is a great place to go with all the family, there is something for everyone at any age.
the famous nemises inferno and collusus is absolutly brilliant and as the're carts are long, there isnt a long wait to get onto the ride so you have alot longer to go on the other rides like stelth for example. i tried stelth and scared myself, but the sudden scare gave me an adrenaline boost and it made me want to go onto some more rides.

“Great for Teenagers”

Thorpe Park

18 Jun 2007

If you have small children, give it a miss, this is for teenagers and young adults only. If you have younger kids take them to Chessington

It is expensive for what you get which is a few thrillseeker rides with long queues, up to 1.5 hours for the best ones.
All side arcaeds and games are a cost option.

On each of the 5 visits here, some of the rides have been closed.

The only food available is fast food and they only offer all inclusive meals, so if that's not your bag, take a picnic.

A sad reflection on the UK is that this is one of our top theme parks, yet it doesn't even come close to anything in the USA.

Having picked out the negatives, my 15 year old son, loves it here as the thrillseeker rides, really are very exciting once you have braved the queues.

“AMAZING FUN!!!!”

Absolutely fantastic fun for anyone over the age of 13. This is a day out that you will remember although it will make a significant dent in your wallet.

Since trading the 'baby' rides with chessington, Thorpe park has taken on a much more daring approach with many terrifying roller coasters. Collossus was the worlds first ten looping roller coaster, watch out for the corkscrews as they are fair scarier than the straight forward loops, I havn't been on nemesis inferno yet as the queue was huge, I would reccommend getting to thorpe park as soon as it opens and doing all the roller coasters first or last as this is when the queues are at their best. If you are a bit of a wimp like me, go on STEALTH first as it will have a smmall queue at that point so you have less time to chicken out, once you have been on it, I can guarantee an adrenaline rush that will force you onto the other rides.

I also LOVE zodiac although vortex freaks me out and had me screaming so hard I lost my voice. I don't like x-no way out as it has a tendancy to break mid ride and I know more than a few peple besides myself that have been on the ride during these breakages,

Finally, do not leave without going on tidal wave, you will get absolutely soaked but it is great fun. This theme park is ideal for young couples looking for a fun (not overly romantic day out) or at its very best going with a group of mates. I wouldn't take young children as there are not many appropriatte rides which is probalbly why they are let in free/ cheap. Save the lil ones for chessington.

Went to Thorpe Park on Sunday 22nd April! Excellent day out and would definately recommend this place to anyone. Wasn't very busy albeit qued for two hours to get on Stealth as it open about 3pm and everyone wanted to go on it at the same time. it looks really scary but the right was brilliant, most scariest part was the beginning! The ride only lasts for 16 seconds (didn't have much to do waiting for 2 hours for it) so its worth giving it a go. My favourite ride is Nemis Inferno, think we rode this ride about 5 times. Can't wait for the park to be open from 9am till 10pm in the summer. Considering its so close to London its an excellent day out.

Me and my family visited Thorpe park on Good Friday. As easter was on Sunday we were going to visit Cadburys World but couldnt book any tickets as they were sold out on almost everyday of the easter holidays. We were just going to leave it and stay at home, i looked on the internet and found thorpe park. It looked very exciting and there was a wide variety of rides. You didnt have to book tickets to go here, you could book on the internet witch was surposed to be cheaper but we just payed there and then when we got there.
As we got into the park some friendly people offered us free samples of smoothies, they were nice :) Anyway, our first attraction we visited was Depth Charge, the line was quite long but what do you expect on Good Friday? The line was well worth the wait and me and my friend found it fun, on our way up the line there was a great view of the park, it looked very clean and tidy. Next we decided to stand in the splash zone for the Tidal Wave, we got soaked! The weather was very warm that day so it was very refreshing getting wet. As we went around the parks we rode all the little rides, i mean why not we payed for the ticket, may as well get the most out of it?? Then we passed Stealth, its very big and looked fun.. Nemisis Inferno was brilliant, i had butterflys in my stomach in the line, but trust me, ignore the butterflys i can promise everybody they will love it! The food prices were reasonable and the park was very enjoyable with a nice atmosphere. Pirates 4d was brilliant, My brother is only 9 and he doesnt like 4d, not anymore he absolutly loves them now!!

.. I would recoment this park for everybody .. .. Its Boss! ..
