We booked a last minute holiday for a week in Kefalonia through First Choice at a very good price, so were not expecting any more than the most basic apartment. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised to find a roomy two bedroom apartment, very clean, with a nice terrace area. The owner's son came and greeted us, and was very friendly and helpful, and in the room we found some cans of Coke and Lager had been left for us.

The apartment was very well looked after, and the cleaner went beyond what needed doing, carefully lining up our bathroom products, taking fruit from a carrier bag we'd left it in and putting it in a bowl etc. Made it feel we were being looked after!

The location is really nice, a flat walk to anywhere in Lassi, only a few hundred yards from the beach, plenty of nearby supermarkets etc. The airport is only 15 minutes away, and the capital city Argostoli is a brisk 30 minute walk (don't do this in the midday sun though!), or a €5 cab ride.

The apartments do not have a pool, but you can use the pool in the next door hotel which was very pleasant. I imagine it could get a little crowded in peak season though.

Definitely somewhere I would stay again if I were be in that part of the world again.
