We were here for one night (as our other hotel had a problem due to the rain).
We arrived late but were courteously greeted and shown on the hotel map (fairly easy to follow) where we would find our room and where to go for breakfast the next morning.
We were in room 201 of the Mancina building.
The room was quite large, all painted white with white tile and pine wood accents -- very clean and fresh looking. Thru the window past the trees and other buildings you could see the ocean. The bed was huge -- king size with reading lamps on either side; It also had a large closet with a small safe inside. In addition to the bed, there was a breakfast nook: dining counter with stools, a small refrigerator, 2-burner stove (older style), a microwave, along with pots, pans, dishes, etc. 2 other chairs, full-length mirror, and a small flat screen TV. The TV got a number of french-language stations as well as a couple music channels (zouk/local).
The bathroom was small with a sink and shower/tub combo. The tub was narrow. Everything looked brand new. Free amenities (bath gel, bath salts, maoisturizer, face soap, shoe polisher) were nice/upscale quality.
The airconditioning was wonderful -- working perfectly.
The included breakfast was in the restaurant to the left of the pool. It was quite good -- a very extensive and large selections of fruits, breads, etc. and included sausage, bacon, boiled eggs, omelets/eggs cooked to order, 4 types of fruit juices, cold cereals, cheeses, etc etc. Coffee/tea is at your table served on request by the servers. You will NOT go hungry here.
The beach is private (perhaps man made?) with lots of chairs, some huts, and a few umbrellas. Plus water equipment for rent. The large hotel pool is clean and surrounded by deck chairs.
There is a parking lot across from the lobby if you have a car; but there are plenty of taxis, also, available at the door. It is in a crowded area quite close to other hotels. This is an area good for the less adventurous. You could be here without a car -- walk to a few other restaurants and the Gosier casino and not leave the property, if that is your nature. There was some limited English ability at the front desk, and the staff was very friendly. Check out time is noon.
