Stayed 6-7 September 2007. We rented a villa nearby, but the owners only rented by the week so we had to stay two nights in a hotel We chose the hotel based on location away from the city, and it's all inclusive program.

The Good:
All inclusive was minimal cost compared to what I ate and drank. I literally had a drink in my hand all day, and was well fed. Considering what it would cost to purchase drinks and food, and the hassle to drive all over looking for good Ibiza food, you can get it all right there. Restaurant had a huge selection. Since all rooms include breakfast, the breakfast is a stampede, but lunch and dinner is more relaxed as the cheapos aren't in there. Great staff in the food and drink areas. The upper pool area is more relaxed even though there is a kid pool and playground, and mini golf up there. It was a just a quieter scene and had snacks and drinks you can serve yourself. We didn't touch the snacks, but opted to pay 5 Euro for a nice little pizza the bar man cooks up. All bartenders were great, but I tipped 1 Euro every visit so maybe they were my paid friends. Either way, they make stiff drinks so watch out! The night shift man at the front lobby desk was the best I have ever seen. He gave non-stop insights to cool places to eat and visit. The phones and the Internet in the lobby are clean. Internet is cheap for checking quick emails or reserving your seats on a flight before departure. We ended up returning to the hotel several times after we checked out for our villa just to use the phones and Internet. The chill out bar next door, and attached to the lower pool area was awesome to get a drink and relax after 11pm. Side note: Topless pool during day makes for a nice bonus...bring dark sunglasses! :o) There is no 7am rush to get pool loungers. I strolled down there every morning at 10-11 am and scored good seats with tons of options for places to lay out.

The Bad:
Day shift front desk were the worst. I momentarily couldn't find the key to my safety deposit box and the lady at the front desk basically told me I was stupid, and I was screwed. Offered no help and did her best to avoid me. I was easy going so this just made me angry afterward that I spend so much on a hotel and the front desk was unhelpful during the day. The rooms are very basic with cermic tile, and the beds are on metal frames that slip across the floor with the slightest touch. We were a romatic couple, and they gave us two twin beds side by side. The beds don't stay together, and if you kiss and get romatic, they will slide from one side of the room to the other during your romance. The maids are aggressive and barge right in...but I foiled them with a special hotel door lock device I brought. This stopped them from just trying to shove the door right open after a quick little knock. No parking for rental cars. The lady at the front desk described a great parking area to me as "the wilderness" behind the hotel. After driving there and seeing no security whatsover, I opted to park down the street in a free slot. No beach. Don't be fooled by pictures on the websites selling the property with a beach. It's a good 10 minute walk to the beach, and after being at the beach I prefer to stay at the hotel pool. The beach is nothing great unless you like old guys in speedos carrying fishing poles.

TIPS:
1. If you stay here, make sure you have a rental car. Many young 20 something partiers wanting to hit the clubs were waiting in huge groups for taxis that never came. The bus is even slower. rent a car, it's the only way to see Ibiza.
2. There are tons of little gift shops across the street from the hotel so you can buy lotions, potions, booze, toothpaste, booze, beach towels, booze, underwear, flip flops, booze, did I mention booze.
3. Get the all inclusive. You actually save money if you like to eat three meals a day, and drink sangria, beer, liquor drinks. No need to carry a wallet or anything while you're there. watch out for the day shift female at the front desk. She didn't even mention the all inclusive or explain it properly after I discovered it on my own.
4. Talk it up with the night shift desk guy. He's very helpful and will send you to all the hidden beaches with the movie stars, music, and good dinner places.
5. Buy a hotel door security lock device to keep the maids away while you're getting busy if you know what I mean!

had origionally booked to stay at the hawaii hotel in san antonio but 5 days before we were due toleave our hotel was changed to this hotel. the hotel is beautifully clean although rooms are very basic and the beds are incredibly hard. no tea and coffee making facilities/hairdryer etc although it stated in the brochure they were. all of the staff were fantastic - especially one of the waiters Reuban - he is the main reason we decided to stay on at the hotel. our 2 year old daughter was besotted with him. so kind and so polite. food was absolutley awful if im telling the truth, you will be right at home if you enjoy veal and fish all the time. there is no variety and absolutley NOTHING for children. all my daughter ate for the 2 weeks that we were there was chips (which nine times out of ten were swimming in grease) and apples. all of the staff were very obliging and nothing seemed 2 much trouble for them. the location of the hotel isnt perfect but was quiet at night and only a 5 minute bus ride from san antonio bay. entertainment is also below average - the same all the time - nothing much to keep you entertained - kids mini disco was great the first night but 13 days later and its exactly the same music - prooved a tad frustrating for our daughter, it was mainly the food that was our biggest moan about the hotel. thouroughly enjoyed the overall holiday though.

Have just come back from a week's stay at the Barcelo Pueblo. For a three star hotel in Spain, this place is well above average and for my £30 per night half board was excellent value for money. The hotel is spread through 5 or 6 seperate blocks within immaculately kept grounds. The decor of the rooms is not perhaps the most up-to-date but they are clean, functional and have individually controled air conditioning (if you stay here bear in mind that the air con will not operate if the balcony door is open). Clientelle when I was there were predominantly Italian and Spanish, with a few Scots, English, Dutch & French. It is very much a Spanish orientated hotel, which is great, this is Spain after all! Everyone very pleasant, laid back and politely behaved. No loud, boisterous, hard drinking types here, the bar/terrace is deserted by midnight!
There are TVs in the rooms with the majority of channels in Spanish which is okay if you understand a little (there is only one English speaking channel. Balconies are on the small side, barely room for two chairs; they also have a small clothes drier rack. On the odd occassion the temperature of the hot water was on the low side (especially around 7.30-9pm, probably due to volume showering).
The buffet breakfast and buffet dinner (7-9.30) were excellent, with a huge choice of salads, meats, grill, hot dishes and sweets (the choice was so extensive there was something to suit even the fussiest of eaters). The food was largely of a Spanish/International variety and you can eat as much as you want. You can pay 15 Euros to go all inclusive - this gives you full board and drinks - again excellent value if you intend to stay around the very pleasant hotel pools all week.
Port des Torrent is somewhat isolated with only a few small shops a handful of cafe/bars and a solitary beach chill-out bar - a fab place to watch the sun go down. The small beach is quite nice and very safe for swimming. There is a regular bus service to San Antonio - but if the nightlife of San Antonio is what you like then Port des Torrent is probably not for you; this is a place to relax and chill out.
I would say it's best to hire a car for the week while here and explore the magic island that is Ibiza. Enjoy!

We have just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel. We found the hotel very clean and tidy the staff always seemed to be cleaning. The room was basic but very clean and had a change of towels every day.
The pool areas always clean with 3 different pools to choose from. The sports area around the side of the hotel consisted of pool, tennis courts , volley ball, table tennis, spa and not to forget the self service bar area with snacks.
We upgraded to all inclusive once we arrived at the hotel which was very easy to do. The food was varried with choices of both meat & fish and always fresh salads and fruit available.
Entertainment is quite hit and miss but the parrot show and the magician that was on was really good. Plenty to do for the kids aswell with the reps playing games and making things with them
This resort is in a fairly quiet area with San Antonio just 10 - 15 minutes down the road by bus which was really cheap and run every hour til 7 in the morning.
On the whole we would reccomend the hotel and are planning to go back same time 2008!
