We have just returned from a week at this Hotel and felt I had to write a review. Before travelling I had read the reviews on this hotel and was a little worried before travelling. However this hotel is fantastic. The rooms are lovely and large, we had a family room, the bathroom was spacious and the room was clean. The pool area was lovely although the pool a little cold. The whole hotel was immaculately clean through out and all the staff friendly. We totally disagree with some of the comments made about the food. The breakfast was wonderful: champagne to make bucks fizz, fresh breads and pastries, hot breakfast and freshly made omelettes to order and pancakes. Evening meals were just as good with theme evenings and show cooking. there was always plenty of choice and a childrens buffet. My daughters age 8 and 4 had no problem with the chioce and combined the childrens buffet with some of the adult dishes. My parents who travelled with us usually stay in Riu Hotels and they said the food was better than in the Riu Hotels. The restaurant was lovely and did not have the canteen feel that large hotels sometimes have. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach and 15 minutes walk to the left is a lovely marina,. The resort is perfect for families and couples. The only thing I can complain about is that the hotel corriders are in need of some updating, they are quite dark and dated, but please do not let this put you off as it is not in keeping with the rest of the hotel.

My daughters loved the childrens disco every evening and my parents enjoyed the live piano and saxophone evenings in the piano bar. We had fantastic weather also.We will definately be returning.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks there was 2 adults in their 50S 4 adults aged 23 - 31 and 4 children aged 4,3,1,and 8mths .
We had a lovely time all the hotel staff are extremly friendly and helpful the hotel is large and well maintained, and in a faboulous pposition.
the hotel is still going throu a refurb but did not affect any of us and we were spaced around the hotel so were not just in 1 area, the bedrooms were large and nice big terrace, i will admit i have been to other hotels that have been cleaned better, when i say this i mean that the terrace was not cleaned brilliantly and the edges of the rooms were a bit dusty, i am not saying they were dirty rooms.
the beach is 2 min max walk down past a shopping complex which has cafe, chinese burger king, supermarket, littl shop etc there is a large marina 10mins walk to the left and to the right you have a port which is lined which little shops/ cafes/bars/ resturants. There is a lovely indian and a steakhouse if you fancy a change from the hotel.
Food wise again not brill for the kids although the 2nd week was half term and they did put a childs buffet on at night but this did consist of beans chips pizza sausage fish fingers, but all our children ate and there was plenty of choice for adults, i would say breakfast was the best meal with everything you could want.
TO CONCLUDE A VERY ENJOYABLE STAY AND WOULD DEFINATELY RETURN.

“Had a great time!”

H10 Lanzarote Princess

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. I was a bit nervous about it having read some of the dodgy reviews, but I have to say we had a brilliant time!

"We" is two parents, two kids under 4 and two grandparents. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the ents staff in particular were great at keeping the kids entertained. The kids disco did start a bit late, but our girls soon got into the swing of sleeping in late and staying up a bit later, and the mini disco was probably the highlight of their days! Our two spent about an hour a day or so in the kids club, which was very flexible as you didnt have to book kids in advance, nor did they have to stay for the full session. This may be different in high season.

The restaurant choice was great for adults, but I have to agree with the previous reviewer that kids choice for meals wasnt great, particularly if you have fussy eaters like my two. Breakfast was fine, but evening meals had little of interest to children - my elder daughter has lived on bread, butter and cheese and my younger one on chips!

The hotel is in a great position - 2 minutes to the beach, about 5 mins walk to the beginning of the shops and seafront area, and about 15 minutes in the other direction to the marina for a change of scenery. Plenty of nice short walks with prams to get small children to sleep and allow mums to have a quick coffee or beer before returning to hotel!

The pools were a bit cold, but this didnt seem to bother our girls, and I never noticed any problem at all with the rocks in the pool which some people have mentioned. The little kids playground also provided another distraction for them.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel to families and will definitely be returning

“Great Holiday to Lanzarote Princess”

H10 Lanzarote Princess

Travelled with my husband and four year old son (his first overseas holiday) to the Lanzarote Princess. Some reservations based on the previous reviews that we had seen.

We thought that the buffet style restuarant was great for us adults but on occassion there was little choice for children. In fact the hotel did not seem to make any effort in that regard for the evening meal. There were quite a few other young childern staying and the restaurant did not open until 6.30pm. My son ususally goes to bed around 7pm and quite often was irritable and past the point of wanting to eat.
Although we enjoyed the burffet to start with, we were getting a little tired of it towards the end of our week stay - we were pleased that we weren't staying for two weeks in that regard.

We didn't see any of the evening entertainment and I was hoping that our son would get to join in with the kids disco - but that didin't start until 8.30pm!

The refurbishment is still on going - sometimes obvious but not always.

The rocks in the childrens pool are a bit of a nuisance and could have quite easily have gone into the colder side of the pool where the kids are less likely to play .

Would I go back again? Probably and I would recommend it for families as there was quite a lot on offer for them but in my opinion there a few minor details that you need to be aware of.

I have never been on a package holiday before and seen so many guests in wheel chairs- it is definitely a resort for anyone that is wheel chair dependent.

Not sure it's 4 star but definitely a good 3 star for the money.

Just returned from a week's stay at the H10 Lanzarote Princess and enjoyed our stay despite having a disastrous start.

When we arrived at the hotel after midnight we were offered a cold buffet in the dining room which seemed welcoming after the flight and the transfer but my elderly mother and aunt were allocated a double room instead of the twin room we had booked. This took time to sort out so once we freshened up and went down to the dining room most of the food had been eaten and there was nothing at all to drink.

We complained to the receptionist who said plenty of food for the guests arriving late at night is left out but no staff are in attendance to replenish supplies so it often runs out. She also said this buffet was the first evening meal but she agreed to us having dinner before we left as we had missed out.. Depending on the time of your home flight this may not work out so you could end up being a meal short.

The staff were friendly and approachable especially the Animation team who worked hard to keep guests happy and entertained .

Rooms were clean and spacious but a bit dated. Food was good and plenty to choose from.

On the third night the fire alarm went off during the night and all the guests evacuated rooms and went to the assembly point, fortunately, it was false alarm but we found the communication by staff poor although a notice was eventually posted to explain what had happened.

Despite this I would recommend this hotel and the resort.
