me and my partner have just returned from a week in what should have been the Sun Park Hotel, but our experience there was so bad we had to move after one night!
When we arrived, we were given the key to room 362. upon entering the room, we switched the lights on as it was night time and only half the lights were working.
We carried on looking around the apartment and the toilet had blood in it, even though there was a sign on it saying it had been disenfected, but the thing that disgusted us most about this apartment was the white sheet in the kitchen sink which was stained in blood.
We went straight to reception, who were more than happy to re-accommodate us.
We were given the key to 363, next door. We dropped our cases off and went down for our evening meal.
When we got there, the food looked really nice, if you like cold chips and frankfurters, even better! The thing that put us off the most was the flies crawling all over the jelly and orange mousse.
After that we decided we would not eat there and buy food in the supermarket on site to cook, even though we had paid for half board, but to top it off the supermarket was closed down!
We went back to the apartment still feeling hungry. As i was unpacking my suitcase, my partner had a bath, when he let the plug out, the water just gushed all over the floor, causing him to slip over and injur himself.
When we went to bed, we were woken up at around 1am by the fridge making a loud screeching noise, which continued right through until we got up at 8am.
We went to reception to ask where the Thomson rep was and were told there was a phone number on the wall and we had to ring them.
After contacting Thomson's they said we could move to Sun Royal (next door) but we would have to pay 98 euros!
We paid, even though it was a chunk of money from our holiday budget but it was well worth it to get out of there!
Sun Royal was so lovely compared to Sun Park, we could not believe they are owned by the same hotel group!
I would not recommend Sun Park to anyone, go to Sun Royal instead!
