me, my husband and our 2 daughters age 6 and 2 had a great fortnight here in april, food was basic but we never went without, staff work really hard and serge and linda are amazing with the kids during the day and evening, quite a walk into town but a beautiful one at that and much needed after all the eating and drinking! all in all had a great time especially since we paid less than we normally do for a week and had our most enjoyable hols ever.

i think the rio sol was brilliant value for the money i paid.
we are a family of 5 and after reading some of the reveiws on here was a bit concerned.
if its five star luxury your after you wont get it.
this is a typical family place, the rooms are basic but clean. the pool area is absolutley gorgeouse an seeing as you spend the majority of your time there you shouldnt have a problem. the staff are very freindly and helpfull and the two entertainers are brilliant especially with the kids.
the food is very basic but it usually is, put it this way we never starved.
we just came back yesterday and after reading some of the stuff on here thought i would put the record straight.
we have all really enjoyed our holiday my kids are 2, 8, and ten and didnt wanna leave the same goes for me and my husband. the location is very beautifull and playa blanca beach is the best ive seen in the canaries. the hotel bus runs there for free every day three times.
we would definatly go back next year if a cheap deal arrises again

Usually go to Carribean twice a year, therefore weather is much warmer. Also properties have always been on the beach. Same price as this hotel.

Riosol small hotel, staff minimal, who work very hard on our behalves. BUT weather was not great, winds were very strong...we did Grand Island Trip, day over to Fuerterventura, climbed extinct Volcana, Mount Roja, just behind Riosol- all of which were great.

Riosol was very basic, but we paid basic prices. Very small touches would enhance the hotel. Such as more than four coat hangers in a room. Also worn out towels in bathroom.

I have never ever posted a negative report on Tripadvisor before....even now its only half negative.

Staff Great, very polite. Rooms spacious, but tired. Weather - not good - but nothing to do with hotel. Food ok, quite repetitive, but quite edible.

Three star hotel. We paid a three star price to stay there. We believe we got that value for our money.

Would we go back in March. NO. For a similar price we would do Dominican Rep in Caribbean much warmer.

had a great relaxing holiday. staff, pool, pool bar excellent. entertainment was o.k. the entertainment staff were brill, not their fault that resources may be limited, the day activities were great, kids seemed to be well looked after. bungalow apartment was clean, no insects! food was good, plates were hot, o.k. so some reviews have said not much selection, but rice chips or salad, is three choices,then there is a fish dish, a meat dish and pasta to accompany them. plenty of different types of breakfast, you could have a 3 course lunch and dinner, you would have to be fussy not to find something and do not forget the snacks at pool bar. as for 11 oclock bar there was no restriction on how many drinks on your last order. would definately return and met people who were planning to do this.
