This is my third visit to Cay Beach Sun (Sun Beach).

Stayed in room 851 which had a nice pool view, above reception area but wasn't loud at all. Previously had room 454 which has views to Lanzarote Princess and mountain areas both are lovely.

Excellent service at reception and they moved our room with no problem when we were given one we didn't like.

Didn't eat at the hotel as we'd buy bits and pieces at Nettos down the road or just eat out.

The rooms are clean and tidy and some would say tired, like all the other "Sun" group appartments they are all the same with green furnature, if you use it as a base then its 100% perfect, sometimes I'm suprised with people's opinions. If you want posh go to Princess Yaiza 5* hotel!!

Happy hour at the pool bar gets you 2-for-1 drinks in the afternoon and every evening there was entertainment (if you like karaoke etc)

The animation daily entertainment was busy and the animation-girl would come around the pool asking if we'd like to do stuff three times a day does get a bit annoying but we got to scuba dive in the pool for free which was amazing!!

The beach is a short walk away and is lovely and clean with crystal clear (freezing) water. fantastic snorkling too. I aim to go to Papagayo beaches next time they sound lovely.

Drinking out seems to have become quite pricey especially when the £ is so weak. Mollies and Old Mill Irish pubs are nice with lovely views and food, every night with entertainment!! Pool is 2 euros so beware!!!

We ate out every night, some people frown upon going places to eat where you can get it at home but I've never experienced food like these places at home!! I'd recommend eating at Jumbos Chinese (its better than any Chinese I've ever had!!!), Tipico Canario - best T-bone and serloin steak ever!, Spice Indian (Expensive). Take a walk along the promiade over to Marina Rubicon and go to Lani's snack bar really cheap and lovely settings and you get free bread to feed the fish, next door big Lani's we found to have poor service and not so nice food compared to it's tiny next door neighbour!!

A great change was going to the Bowling place near Marina Rubicon fab bowling alley thats so quiet! Lots of pool tables and video games and a crazy golf place behind. All Good fun!

The ferry to Fuerteventura is great fun (Armas is cheapest) and you can have a day out in Corralejo which is busier than Playa Blanca but a bit dirtier i think!

Lanzarote airport is nice and has lovely balconies to watch the planes and have a drink when the sun goes down!!

I will definately go back to Playa Blanca and stay in Sun Beach, Park or Royal without a doubt!! I think its good for familes and couples or people who just want to chill out and get away from it all in a hot, breezy, calm and volcanic landscape!

For those who enjoy trips there's plenty and you can always hire a car and make your own trips!

If you've never been to these apartments before then you're in for a treat, they are clean and big, staff are very friendly especially reception. Its worth doing the breakfast option if you're self catering, its £5 per day and there was a very good choice. The apartments are around a 5min walk to the beach/bars/restaurants and I would strongly recommend a visit to an italian called L'Artista, food was fantastic, next to the restaurant is a bar called La Galaria, which is set above the bars on the promenade and has beautiful views over the sea to Fuerteventura. I would pay a visit to the marina where you can sit and relax watching the sun go down in Cafe Del Mar. There are resturants there we only went to the tapas bar next door, which do the best calamares ever. Taxis to and from are very cheap around 3euro. All in all we had a great time, weather was so hot. We will definately be back and we will stop in the same apartments.

We have just had a fantastic week at sun beach appartments at playa blanca with my wife and 10 year old son.It is located 10-15 mins to a loverly beach and to the town center with a choice of some great resturants.Playa blanca has still got some charm about it without it getting to comercial.The staff at sun beach are very friendly and very helpfull,there is a supermarket on the complex which we found very handy for topping up on things.The resturant is ok,open for brexfast and dinner there is also cafeteria which is ok but we prefer eating out.The two pools and areas around the pool are good and plenty of sun beds but the water was freezing until you where in for a few seconds,could be warmer in the summer months.The rooms are clean and tidy and are ok .Not bad for the price and yes we would go back.

we stayed at sun beach for 1 week and loved every minute of it all the people that worked there was very helpful and polite people. ive been to 3 different apartments around lanzarote and i must say it is the cleanest ive ever been to. there was 14 of us last year and we loved stayin at sun beach that much we am all goin back there in october but theres 18 of us this year. i would deffinatly recomend this holiday to anyone because they would have the best holiday ever.
