I have just come back from the Sun Royal apartments in Playa Blanca, Lanzorote. The weather was red hot and the breeze was nice. The apartments are nice and clean, the only thing that I would say about the apartments is the walk to the promenade is quite a distance, but as we enjoy walking it was no problem.

The complex is divided into two sections both sides have a large pool and a small childrens pool (both quite cold). Plenty of sunbeds (no need to get up at the crack of dawn for a sunbed) The entertainment at night was a little disappointing and the mini disco was stopped, but we could of gone to the Sun Park apartments for the mini disco (they are sister apartments). The kids club stopped running whilst we where there but it was ran by the hotel not the tour operator. Quite a lot of spanish staying at the apartments. Very quite for the half term.

We stayed self catering but I believe you can stay half board. Netto supermarket down the road and plenty of restaurants on the promendade, a lovely marina and some designer shops .

found our apartment through thomson and got for whole cost of £70 for 1 week , bargain , the hotel i was plesantly suprised as from the outside doesnt give much away , when u walk into the spotless foyer well decorated and modern its like entering a village . we stayed in room 704 which was lower level right next to the pool 10 steps and we was at the pool , room was spotless no faults we were self catering but found the onsite shop reasonably priced and good variety. go to pool early if want guarantee sun bed, but yes u do get the people who come and reserve with there towels :) pools well mantained every night cleaned always staff around the site ,became great friends with the night security man who became our guide for 1 day and took us to beautiful mountained area . all staff very friendly and very child friendly hotel would recommend to all

Booked online with Thomson. Read other reviews and would agree with most. Apartments were clean, but furnishings a bit tired. mainly Spanish holidaymakers, all very pleasant. Stayed self catering, ate in the Hotels buffet once, Ok. Would not want to eat there every day.
Pool nice and nice little supermarket on site. Quite a large complex with 2 pools. Quite far from the main drag, a good 20 minutes (stroll). A Netto just down the road. The resort is pleasant enough, plenty of shops, but not a lot of variety between the restaurants. The beaches were packed and small and boring. But pappagayo beaches are the ones to head for if you can get there. I usually go to Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, which is (to me) far superior. Pleasant enough holiday but wouldn't go back.

My family and i stayed here in August. Apartment was great and spotless.
We had 1 huge bedroom with lots of wardrobe space and beds were really comfy. There was a sofa bed in lounge and a pull out bed which was stored under the sofa bed. This was okay for the kids though not much room when beds in use. Kitchen was well equipped and had kettle, toaster, microwave. We had 2 huge balconys overlooking the pool. If you are booked to stay here i would recommend pool view as there are some apartments close to road with no view. I dont think any apartments had sea view. We were booked on self catering. We did book breakfast on our last day and were very disapointed with standard of food. A good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc but the hot food wasnt so hot and we declined to eat. Cooked eggs and bacon were cold!! I cant comment on evening meals as we ate out in the town every evening. There are some lovely restaurants close by with some super views of the sea. The complex was relaxing with 2 freshwater pools, plenty of sunbeds and helpfull staff. Mini market on site but cheaper shop not far from complex. I would say its about 15minute stroll to the playa dorada beach with restaurants close to the beach. The resort itself is quite spreadout with a beautiful marina the one end with some elegant restaurants and shops and the ferry port/town the other end. Taxis are reasonable. If you have time its worthwhile taking ferry over to Fuerteventura. We went to Baku waterpark for the day at Correlejo. It was great day out but fairly expensive. We did our trip independently thinking we would save money but it turned out that our rep could do it cheaper. One last comment about Playa Blanca is you will see lots of postcards/pictures of the beautiful Papagao beach. We visited twice. It wasnt walking distance and we got the taxi the 1st time. No taxi could get you directly to the beach and it is quite a trek accross hillsides to reach. The 2nd time, we went on the glass bottom taxi boat located at the ferry port . This was great fun and they had access of getting you to the beach by speedboat. They can drop you off and pick you up later in the day. Highly recommended!!
Overall we had lovely holiday in a nice location and would definatly book to stay here again. Hope you have as good time as we did!!
