The Oasis Timanfaya Golf Apartments

Me and my wife are both in our 20s we stay at the hotel for 4 days for a weekend brake it is a clean and comfutabull hotel, with very friendly staff

The rooms are a good size with some kitchen were there was no coffee or tea making facility’s and had only a pan or two to cook with,

Anyway we went all inclusive the breakfast is pretty much the same you get in any hotel good selection of serials and cooked breakfast, there always seamed to be enough seats in the restaurant but we did run out of cups and plats but staff did there best to get them out.

The afternoon meals and evening meals was ok most of the food was cooked well, we had some boiled potatoes that were not cooked though properly when we fancied a change from chips,
The deserts were also hit and miss really your usual kind of deserts you would expect to find in Half Board or full board buffets cake with a custard toping and some other things I dint have a clue what they were and a different selections of ice cream each day!

The hotel entertainment was ok I have seen better but for what I paid for the hole holiday I was pleased with the value the location of the hotel is a bit out of the way from the main centre about 15min walk,
Over all we had a nice stay hear! And would recommend this as a 3 start nothing more and nothing less!

“Great hotel, not 4* as advertised but great for a 3*”

Oasis Timanfaya Golf Apartments

26 Feb 2008

I was told it was a 4* when I booked but it turned out to be a 3* when we arrived but it was just lovely. Great staff, we went all inclusive which can be a pure gamble but it paid off this time. Great helpfull staff, food was fantastic with a huge variety of choice. The Breakfasts were out of this world, do try the pancakes, food was constantly replenished, hot and no strange combination of food.

This hotel/appartments seemed very popular with the spanish who I felt took over a little sometimes. Evening's entertainmen was a bit a bit naff but we are in our early 30's with no children so not really geard for us. If you have children this is excellent, 15 min walk from the beach but very quite location.

Tennis courts were good, not flood lit at night but always empty and squash cour was also impressive. Our apparently was cleaned daily and to a good standard. huge appartment.

Would definately go here again although if you want night life and excitement perhaps this side of the island is not for you.

this was our first trip to this hotel. we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. this hotel is a 3* as stated nothing above or below . our holiday was booked with media travel through teletext. we stayed self catering.

when we 1st arrived we was greeted well and given our key very promptly. we had a balcony apartment which was not to far from the pool. it was all very basic but clean. our "double bed" was two singles pushed together with seperate covers. so we didn't feel like we was together. when we looked this hotel up and read the info we was mislead to believe we would have the essentials for a self catering hoilday eg. toaster, grill, oven. there was hobs and microwave and that was it. if u wanted a toaster, remote for the tv and towels you would have to pay a rental fee and a deposit. the maid changed our towels every other day and didn't change our bed sheets but left them for us to do ourselves. there was cutlery plates glasses ect.

the location of this hotel was good. the beach was a 10/15 min walk. there was 2 nettos, little shops, restaurants and bars 10/15 mins away. the costa teguise town was a 20/25 walk which we done on a regular basic there is also a beach down there which is alot better than playa bastin. the sun loungers are normally 4 euros each to rent for the whole day. costa teguise town in louder and has more bars taxi rank and a bus stop to get to puerto de carmen . a cab there would cost 25 euros.

the entertainment was very good for all ages. marta and roberto were very good. there was games all day to do including darts pool, rifle shooting ect. in the evening there was free bingo and a quiz to do. there was a magician show and a reptile show.

i would recommend this hotel to all ages. if your looking for ALOT of night life dont come here.

we hope this has helped.

We've stayed here before, so we new what to expect.
Clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff.
Some noise from other guests, mostly in the form of high heels tip-tapping across the floor above and the sound of wardrobes and doors opening and closing, but nothing too bad.
Anyway, that's not a criticism of the hotel, more a criticism of thoughtless guests. And you can get them anywhere!
Disappointed to find that the on-site supermarket was closed. I think it may be closed permanently. Two Netto stores, within walking distance.
We went B&B and the choice for breakfast is staggering. I defy anyone to say that breakfast isn't good.
The first night there we decided to have dinner in the restaurant.
The choice is huge but the quality fairly average.
Most of the meats and fish were swimming in gravy or sauce of one sort or another and were far too salty for my tatse. Easily sorted, there is a good choice of restaurants in easy walking distance.
I notice I've said twice that, things are within walking distance, they are to us. My wife and I are both just turned sixty and enjoy walking. If you are older and less fit or younger and don't like walking it might seem like a long way.
Hope this review helps someone.

“Great staff, great hotel!”

After reading numerous reviews about this hotel some very postive and some negative along with the fact that it is sold as a 4star when in fact it is a 3star I was slightly dubious about staying here. How wrong could I be? The hotel was clean, comfortable and the food was great. We went all inclusive and it was well worth it. I have stayed in many hotels throughout the Canaries and they can be very hit and misss (particularly the food when you are AI).

The staff were very friendly and you felt at home as soon as you arrived. The entertainment was alright, very much what you would expect from a package holiday. The rooms were very cleaned and spacious with everything you need (cooker, fridge etc).
