in my opinion .. you get what you pay for, and as the holiday was quite cheap i didn't expect anything great but we got by. i went with my boyfriend on the 20.03.08 and got back last night, the 27.03.08. The rooms were a nice size and the balcony was bigger than i expected. We went self catering. the things i could find fault with was the fact there was no toaster, kettle and literally 2 forks 2 knives etc so id advise take your own cutlery. One out of the two hobs we had were broken, but in all fairness the minute we told the guy at reception he sent someone up to fix it and it was done in an hour. Another thing i wasn't too impressed by was the fact you had to pay to use the sauna and jacuzzi. shouldn't that be included in the price you pay to stay there? The rooms are all really loud. the slightest movement makes the loudest noise. there was a family of 4 above us. single mum and 3 kids. constantly making noise late at night and early in the morning. sounded like they were dragging the furniture from room to room and running around the place. Also we had a few fag buts thrown down onto our balcony. of cause i cant blame the hotel for this but i should have put a complaint in. The hotel couldn't get any English channels but they managed to get German. The double bed turned out to be 2 single beds pushed together.they were quite hard but a friend of mine who i bumped into over there was staying in a 4star hotel literally a mile away and she said her bed was really hard to. The hotel overall was nice. close to a lot of shops, beach, the Aqua park and the hotel ran trips to markets for only 6Euros. I'd say that the hotel was probably more for parents and kids. the pool area is lovely. everyone joins in with each other. Same as there evening entertainment. they have the kids up dancing and having fun. I didn't go in there of an evening because i went out drinking and for food but when we occasionally poked our heads around to see. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family. theres so much to do in this area. we found we were hardly in the hotel anyway. We were able to sunbathe on our balcony too.

Well have just arrived back on the 25th, room very basic no kettle or pans etc but think we were just unlucky as room used to shower in before we left had everything !!, our room was cleaned 5 times in the week which was good, clean towels every other day. swimming pool was freezing cold but still needed to get towels on sunbeds early otherwise no hope of one all day !!, entertainment was awful even after a few drinks, needed a taxi to get into town (4 euros each way), found wonderful irish bar called 'Shamrock' music there was good,
Overall it was ok, but would much rather go to Tenerife, weather was good but its a very windy island and you most definately need a coat etc for the evenings, not the best part of the island i felt and hotel a little too far out for comfort.

me & my boyfriend, both eaarly 20s just come back from a week in the timanfaya self catering. as we arrived the room smelt a little fousty but may have been due to being early season & not used for a while. the cuttlery & crockery were really dirty & no washing up liquid/
scrubber or tea towel to clean them with. if you go here try & get a top floor appartment as we were on the bottom floor & the view out of our bedroom window was a brick wall about 30 cms away which was the steps to the top. the binmen lorry come about 22.30 every night which was noisy. the hotel was about 20 mins walk to all amenities & involves walking down a main road~ not very scenic. the shop on site is very over priced, for examlpe, a large bag of doriitos was 5.50 euros! the walls are very thin & we could hear people walking, talking, flushing the toilet & moving furniture afrom all 3 rooms around us! over all the hotel was definatley a 3* not 4, i wouldnt personally go back but i think we got what we paid for & wasnt dissapointed.

also we felt the water park wasnt value for money as was 22.50 euros each & took us about 35 mins to do

The Oasis Timanfaya Golf Apartments

Me and my wife are both in our 20s we stay at the hotel for 4 days for a weekend brake it is a clean and comfutabull hotel, with very friendly staff

The rooms are a good size with some kitchen were there was no coffee or tea making facility’s and had only a pan or two to cook with,

Anyway we went all inclusive the breakfast is pretty much the same you get in any hotel good selection of serials and cooked breakfast, there always seamed to be enough seats in the restaurant but we did run out of cups and plats but staff did there best to get them out.

The afternoon meals and evening meals was ok most of the food was cooked well, we had some boiled potatoes that were not cooked though properly when we fancied a change from chips,
The deserts were also hit and miss really your usual kind of deserts you would expect to find in Half Board or full board buffets cake with a custard toping and some other things I dint have a clue what they were and a different selections of ice cream each day!

The hotel entertainment was ok I have seen better but for what I paid for the hole holiday I was pleased with the value the location of the hotel is a bit out of the way from the main centre about 15min walk,
Over all we had a nice stay hear! And would recommend this as a 3 start nothing more and nothing less!
