We booked a last minute self catering holiday (although not cheap) for the end of August 2011 - last week of the school holidays so we expected it to be busy (understatement of the year). We initially had to wait about 4 hours for our room which took up most of the first day of our holiday. Upon entering the room I was shocked at the size - we managed, but it really wasn't suitable for a family of 4. There was only 1 mirror -located in the bathroom - so trying to get ready every evening was difficult (especially with a teenager girl!) This is mainly a spanish tourist, all inclusive hotel and you have to queue for everything whether you are all inclusive or not. The queues were extreme, the pool area well over crowded and the spanish reserved beds 4+ at a time and would use them for all of an hour throughout the day! I have never been on an all inclusive holiday and this has certainly put me off. We made the most of our holiday and spent nearly every day at the beach, which although is pebble, it was lovely. (The sea gets deep quickly so beware if you have little ones) The resort of Albir is also lovely and there are some great restaurants. I would return to albir but definately not to this hotel.
